Delusional: The president’s religiosity is over the top:
Bush’s closest advisers have long been aware of the religious nature of his policy commitments. In recent interviews, one former senior official, who served in Bush’s first term, spoke extensively about the connection between the President’s religious faith and his view of the war in Iraq. After the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the former official said, he was told that Bush felt that “God put me here” to deal with the war on terror. The President’s belief was fortified by the Republican sweep in the 2002 congressional elections; Bush saw the victory as a purposeful message from God that “he’s the man,” the former official said. Publicly, Bush depicted his reëlection as a referendum on the war; privately, he spoke of it as another manifestation of divine purpose.
The deaths of American soldiers and innocent Iraqi children mean nothing to Mr. Bush, who sees these losses as part of God’s plan:
“The President is more determined than ever to stay the course,” the former defense official said. “He doesn’t feel any pain. Bush is a believer in the adage ‘People may suffer and die, but the Church advances.’ ” He said that the President had become more detached, leaving more issues to Karl Rove and Vice-President Cheney. “They keep him in the gray world of religious idealism, where he wants to be anyway,” the former defense official said.
Don’t worry. Jesus is in his head, talking to him, telling him what to do:
Current and former military and intelligence officials have told me that the President remains convinced that it is his personal mission to bring democracy to Iraq, and that he is impervious to political pressure, even from fellow Republicans. They also say that he disparages any information that conflicts with his view of how the war is proceeding.

Oddly enough, I have sometimes had the same thoughts as our president – that God put him here now. I think we live in defining times, and just as the moon and stars came together to create Hitler (and yes, I mean to use the Hitler analogy; don’t ask me to take it back), an awful lot of stuff went right to enable this idiot, down-in-the-polls mistake to look presidential after 9/11. I do think something celestial must have happened for us to be saddled with Bush, and it is up to each of us to define our own limits in his wake.
BUSH IS THE BIGGEST LIER OF ALL TIMES!!!! GOD—DID NOT PUT THAT LIER THERE! HIM AND HIS BROTHER STOLE THE ELECTION FOR HIM!! GOD DON’T CONDONE LIES!! and BUS IS A BAG OF TRUTH!! FOR ALL HE CAN TELL IS LIES AND THE TRUTH HAS NEVER COME OUT!!!!!
Actually we may want to really think about this.
We know that Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Fieth, Libby Scooter etc are all either, well connected to companies/people that are facing serious legal scrutiny, or have interesting links to a ‘country’ that, regardless of how much money and weapons we give them, they are not the ‘friend’ of the American people (or anyone else apparently).
Dirty and/or, Dangerous. Hmmmm
Then, there’s the the man ‘THEY’ put in the most powerful position in the world.
A man who apparently believes that god? has chosen ‘him’ to lead us.
A man, who every day, seems to be getting further away from the truth and is completely disconnected from the real world.
Not a good combination of folks to have in control of not only this country’s wealth and well-being, but they also have control of the most technological advanced war machine in the world.
People need to really think about just how ’safe’ we really are and just ‘who’ we need protecting from?.
We need to get serious about this. We need to know if our ‘president’ has lost his ‘grasp’ on reality, go after the dirty ones hard, and at the same time stop them/others from using our military for their own hidden reasons/beliefs.
The tide is turning, but people need to stop agreeing that ‘there is something wrong’ with this adminstration and start fixing the ‘problems’.
Sorry! I know this was long, but we’ve watched everything get worse over the last few years and I needed to vent…:)
It sure would be great if Bush would convert to Christianity, instead of the bizarre, death worhip cult he now belongs to. Christ would not destroy a city to save it (Fallujah), torture and imprison innocent people like he has at Gitmo and Abu Ghraib or suspend habeas corpus in a misguided effort to stamp out terrorism.
The man is a mentally ill pervert, like so many of the Bush family are.
