Why Did Jefferson Hate Christmas?

“It does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are 20 gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”

    Did he really hate christmas?
I hate what christmas has become, because I’m actually a christian. I am a follower of christ, not a follower of red and green ads, or a follower of “what I want for christmas” lists, not a fan of lines at wal mart, nor the inevitable oversized helping of christmas music I get shoved down my throat.

Every christmas I thank God for sending his son to earth, and every easter I thank jesus for dying for me. That’s what it’s all about.

Christmas right now is a pagan holiday with less meaning than Kwanzaa.
