Yesterday President Bush nominated Noel Hillman, the lead prosecutor in the Abramoff case, to a lifetime judicial appointment.
Just to make it even more perfect, Hillman serves as chief of the department’s public integrity section. Must be that special Republican integrity “integrity” that allows you to take a cushy job in return for pulling the investigation off the White House.
Yup! No appearance of impropriety here. Just move along folks, move along.
Late word: Hillman has already resigned from the Abramoff case in order to get fitted for his new black robes.
No telling what evidence about Rove, Cheney, Bush and Abramoff was shredded in Hillman’s office yesterday.
I think I have a sore neck from shaking my head side to side for the last 5 1/2 years. This moron in the white house never ceases to amaze me. When I woke up today I turned on CNN and saw just the story you posted above. He’s amazing isn’t he? ..and the right wing voters just don’t get it, they are clueless.
He is no moron-he is surrounded by very clever, albeit corrupt, people. And, this is very similar to the type of antics that used to go on in Iraq and still go on in other dictatorships. Now I am beginning to wonder if moving to Canada isn’t a very good ieda!

Maybe when Abramoff is indicted for murder in the gangland-style slaying of Gus Boulis, people will realize what a dirtbag he is. Of course, Bush suffered very little guilt by association by being butthole buddies with Ken Lay, who ripped off millions of people of thier life savings.
Populist makes some good points about beating them at their own game, but that requires balls, which Dems seem to be lacking. The ones with the most balls (ironically) are the women: Pelosi, Boxer, Clinton, et al.
Bush will use Iran and the nuclear standoff there to scare the American people into supporting him more. Buy oil and natural gas futures, because the price of those commodities is headed through the roof!!
