DeLay Appoints Self to Justice Dept. Oversight Committee

Are you sitting down: Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has claimed his new committee memberships and one of them is a doozy:

DeLay, R-Texas, also claimed a seat on the subcommittee overseeing the Justice Department, which is currently investigating an influence-peddling scandal involving disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his dealings with lawmakers.

I have outrage fatigue from this Administration. They are surrealisticly shameless. I am surprised they haven’t named a witch doctor to head the FDA or a veteranarian to head the Veterans Administration.

As Forrest Gump said, “Stupid is as stupid does…”

This is just one more example of the total contempt that the”NEW REPUBLICAN,(read:FASCIST)PARTY” has for the people of the United States. The behavior is a repeat of the process used by A. Hitler and Company in Germany in the 1930s and should come as no great surprise, given the “close family ties the “Bush Fqami8ly” has historically had ever since. Check it out…..And T. Delay, Frist, Hastert, Mc Cain are all fellow travelers and “enablers”!….So what else is new?

I almost find myself laughing. It’s like one big comedy routine. Is Delay a misunderstood genius? Is he the next coming of Lenny Bruce? Bill Hicks?
I just don’t understand how these things work. How is this even allowed to happen? I mean, if someone told me that a gang of his GOP buddies gave him this job that would one thing (evil), but how does he appoint himself? Shoot, if it’s that easy, then I declare myself the head of Microsoft! Yay, I’m rich!

Yes, it’s brilliant. A move guaranteed to inspire faith and trust in the GOP and the Congress. I, for one, am telling everyone I know about that smart move.

Stephen, you probably thought you were being funny when you said they might appoint a veterinary to head the VA. I have news for you, after the head of the Office of Womens Health resigned they did just that.

And I have to agree, I am getting outrage fatigue too.
