Impeachment, Politics, Privatization, Scandals, Worst President Ever
I’ve heard it all now. CNN:
…the second in command at the Pentagon…said Thursday that people who publicly oppose allowing a Middle Eastern company to take over management of some U.S. ports could be threatening national security.
Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England told the Senate Armed Services Committee that blocking the deal could ostracize one of the United States’ few Arab allies.
“The terrorists want our nation to become distrustful,” England said. “They want us to become paranoid and isolationist, and my view is we cannot allow this to happen. It needs to be just the opposite.”
Because, you know, our government has been so open and fearless up to now. Their willingness to say absolutely anything — no matter how convoluted and incredible — just to get their own bread buttered, is stunning.

Geez – You know, if, in the quotation above, you simply replaced the words, “The terrorists…” with the words, “The Bush Administration…”, you’d have our complete foreign policy and a decent rebuttal to that policy in the same quote!
Pu-leeze….
Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England has lost his grip on reality. For him to remain in his position at the Pentagon “could be threatening national security.” He should be put out to pasture immediately.
Wonder where we’d be now if our government had made a deal like this with Saddam back when Washington was so buddy, buddy with him; when Rumsfield even had his picture taken with Saddam, like he was such a great guy?
Guess they figured they’d gotten us scared enough with all this terrorist talk so we wouldn’t notice them turning the gateways to our country over to this company.
Is it just me, or does someone else ever wonder how it is that this “administration” and its fellow travelers are always so knowledgeable about the “thoughts” of “the enemy” and why “they” think the way “they” do? Seems to me “our administration, its officials, and fellow travelers” have a very intimate mode of communications set up with “the enemy”!
Why not abolish the Secret Service and let U.A.E. guard the President, now this would show our Arab allies that we trust them.
Nice catch.
Questioning Dear Leader’s minions whims is seditious treasonous heresy of course!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, if you don’t go along with every little whim and closed door deal of Bush Corporation then your unpatriotic and it’s a threat to National security. The fear factor is wearing thin on this democratic republic especially when it comes to selling out the nation.
MR. GORDON AS A PENTAGON PERSON YOU KNOW THE FEELING OF THE SOLDIER PRIOR INTERING THE BATTLE. THE FEAR OF THE UNCERTINTY DOMINATING UNTILL YOU FEEL THE SHOTS OVER YOUR HEAD, THEN YOU FORGET THE FEER AND FIGHTS BRAVELY.WE ARE INTO THE BATTLR, THERE IS NO UNCERTINTY. LET CONFRONTATE THEM, AND SURFUCE THEM OUT OF THEIR HIDINGS. ONLY THEN YOU SAY WHAT YOU HAVE SAID.
The new mantra for the GOP:
Republican first, American second.
If our regulated shipping industry were as useful for assasinations (oops, accidents and suicides) as our regulated aviation industry, might our leaders have spent more time keeping up with port ownership issues?
The sleeper cells may already be in place in the UAE just awaiting orers. Don’t buy into this diabolical scheme. Stop the ports deal at all costs in the name of humanity. Help save this great nation and defy Bush and his cronies.
Secret Service should have taken a blood sample for alcohol consumption after Cheney shot his “buddy”. They are, as Hush Bimbo (Rush Limbaugh), said that The SS is a police force. Any police officer would go to a site in Texas and demand a blood test by law. This would happen in any traffic fatality occurence. Why not in this case?
For everybody screaming about the Ports deal, it may be interesting to know that we have already sold out to the Arabs a long long time ago. Funny how nobody points to the fact that Arabs already own a huge chunk of major US corporations – CitiBank, AOL etc. They also finance our budget defecit, which if they were to stop doing, would result in the US$ crashing. Do we really need another recession???? I think not!
