It reminds me of doing research when I was in a European History masters program and we had to read copies of the Volkischer Beobachter (Hitler's Party Paper). I'm serious, having you blog types select the material worth reading is a great service. Perhaps, I'm practicing a bit too much selective exposure, but... life's short. Not that I think that there is anything wrong with being gay, but staying in the closet has psycho-sexual implications that can lead to destructive politics and acts of psychological projection. Mr. Fund brings to mind the likes of McCarthy, Roy Cohn and J. Edgar Hoover. I don't intend this as an ad hominem attack (there is nothing wrong with being gay) it is just that homophobia breeds incredibly awful character traits when it is internalized by the likes of Mr. Fund.
