Poll: Bush Sinks into 20s in Harris Survey

Loss leader:

President Bush’s job-approval rating has fallen to its lowest mark of his presidency, according to a new Harris Interactive poll. Of 1,003 U.S. adults surveyed in a telephone poll, 29 percent think Mr. Bush is doing an “excellent or pretty good” job as president, down from 35 percent in April and significantly lower than 43 percent in January. Approval ratings for Congress overall also sank, and now stand at 18 percent.

Roughly one-quarter of U.S. adults say “things in the country are going in the right direction,” while 69 percent say “things have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track.” This has been the trend since January, when 33 percent said the nation was heading in the right direction.

George is a pitiful man and Americans seem to be waking up to that fact. It’s not that he’s evil, though he is that too, or that he is dumb, but that he is totally unqualified to lead the nation, never was and never will be qualified. He has no sense, his judgment is lacking, he is an ignoramus. A sad little man with much to be little about.

I disagree with you, Incredulous. You are putting too kind of a spin on a man who is single-handedly responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in Iraq, many thousands of dead and maimed-for-life soldiers, and the liklihood of many more poor souls either dying or being horribly injured. His hubris is what makes him evil; yet his incompetence makes us pitiful.
