Remember just a few short years ago how pointing out that President Bush was a habitual, probably pathological, liar would be met with howls of derision? Now when he is caught lying hardly anyone bothers to point it out. Here’s a recent catch, via an email from Progress Report:
- May 25, 2006:
“No, [Treasury Secretary John Snow] has not talked to me about resignation. I think he’s doing a fine job.”
– President Bush (apparently four days after accepting Snow’s resignation) - May 30, 2006:
“The two of them [President Bush and Henry Paulson] met on the 20th of May and there was a conversation. And Hank Paulson accepted the job a day later.”
– White House Press Secretary Tony Snow

President Bush lies and gets away with it. Thanks. I’ll go alert the media.
Iraq, Bush, Batwoman and a Commenter…
I’m not done with the travelogue yet, but I’m going to take a break to bring you these news nuggets:Sigh. I’m not sure how much worse things have to become in Iraq before the dimwits that dreamed up the whole…
oH MY GOD THIS MAN IS ENOUGH TO GIVE SOMEONE A STROKE OR HEART ATTACK. JUST DECIDE TO DO THIS: EVERY TIME HE SPEAKS JUST BLANK IT OUT AND BELIEVE THE OPPOSITE.
THE MAIN STREAM-MEDIA LOVES IT.THEY WORSHIP GEORGE AND HIS LIES,THEY PARTY ON WHILE AMERICA IS CRUMBLING ***
I believe there is plenty of outrage throughout America re the destructive lying that Bush does , the problem is that the media does not report that public outrage. The only time they did was during the Dubai port takeover and that was because the outrage was so overwhelming that the media actually had no choice. Without the media reporting the enormity of dissatisfaction felt across the country it lessens the awareness and thus the impact of public disgust with this “pretender to the office of U.S. President.”
We’re experienced enough to know that every single thing out of that traitor’s mouth is a lie. So how long does it take the press to figure this out? My guess, considering the recent hatchet jobs on the Clintons and on Al Gore, is never.
That’s why we need to keep working to make the mainstream media irrelevant.
Journalists everyday should ask themselves this question.
“WHICH IS WORSE,SCREWING AN INTERN OR SCREWING A COUNTRY?”
Tony Snow also said, “He never talked to me about resignation. It was artfully worded.” Tony Snow admitted that Bush parsed words to deliberately fool the public but somehow skirt being called a liar. The media needs to hold him (Bush) accountable the way they went nuts over the ‘depends on what is is’ line.
Bush couldn’t tell the truth if his life depended on it. Too bad it doesn’t.
As Jay Leno said the other night (31-May):
“Clinton or Bush. Which is worse? One that screws Americans one-at-time, or one that screws all Americans at the same time!” [paraphrased]
