According to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, which quotes a Quinnapiac survey, not even Harris’ Repug counterparts want her running against Nelson. Only 35 percent of Repugs polled said they supported Harris. Of the other three boobs in the race against Harris for the nomination, the highest level of support is 16 percent — but only because people are confusing one candidate with a guy who ran for gov in 2000 with the same last name. It basically does not matter who ends up with the Republcan nomination, Nelson’s gonna win unless he sleeps with Mel Martinez.
Who cares! Nelson votes with the Republicans a great deal of the time on VERY IMPORTANT ISSUES. He is planning to vote for a “compromise” bill that would pare down estate taxes and shift tens of billions of dollars of tax burden from the very wealthiest to all of us. His voting record is attrocious. Are we sentient people, or not? Who cares about his political moniker when he can’t be counted on for nearly anything.
shellynm is absolutely right…I can’t vote for Nelson, I guess I’ll write in,NONE OF THE ABOVE. I’ve yet to get a response from him on how the money will be replaced from the estate tax repeal. I also suggested that any congressman that is affected by the tax should have to recuse himself. He also doesn’t seem to know anything about net neutrality…..
If Nelson is the best that the Dems can do, I’m goin’ Green….
Maybe Harris IS telling the truth about the Fla Dems in the house wanting SOMEBODY to beat “Zell-Joe-Hillary”-Nelson to get another “Bushiekrat” out of Washington.
How on that?
Over…..
Nelson is popular here in Fl. mainly because he is an effective advocate for the Social Security crowd. I know from personal experience. I had a two year war with SSA, a battle that they discoved was an “oversight” on their part.
Took only 10 days after speaking to his office and e-mailing them what they requested. I have heard the same praise of him from many other seniors.
Harris never stood a chance.
