At ‘Jesus Camp,’ Children Taught to Die for Christ, Worship Bush

ABC News reports on “Jesus Camp,” a new documentary about the religious right’s proto-Hitlerjugend indoctrination programs:

Speaking in tongues, weeping for salvation, praying for an end to abortion and worshipping a picture of President Bush — these are some of the activities at Pastor Becky Fischer’s Bible camp in North Dakota, “Kids on Fire,” subject of the provocative new documentary, “Jesus Camp.”

“I want to see them as radically laying down their lives for the gospel as they are in Palestine, Pakistan and all those different places,” Fisher said. “Because, excuse me, we have the truth.”

“A lot of people die for God,” one camper said, “and they’re not afraid.”

“We’re kinda being trained to be warriors,” said another, “only in a funner way.”

The fundy-looney freight train is picking up the kind of momentum that will be hard to stop. Reason is losing out to relgio-insanity. We still don’t lop off people’s heads for Jesus, but the end of days lunacy seems to becoming closer to self-fulfillment. Some true leadership will not be forthcoming for the next two years – I hope we get some worthwhile choices in the next election, but I’m not holding my breath.

If you believed in Jesus, you would understand and support them. The detractors are taking statements out of context and using them doing the work of the devil.

I am sick and tired of living in the United States of Dumbfuckistan. And what exactly is the difference between jihadis and crusaders?

    Nothing at all.

    Jesus wept.

They were not worshiping Bush they were praying for him because he is the leader of our country. And all Christians pray for the president, it is our duty. Not all pray or worship the same. If you understand Jesus ways,=Love, then the army of God would love, to teach that love of God and NOT compromise their faith and their morals. Die for Jesus means die to your OWN fleshly wantings and follow HIM, not pick up weapons, fight or kill. People will never like what they don’t take the time to understand. Maybe understand the basic followings of Jesus and you will have a better understanding of what this film is about. It is extreme worship for the love of Jesus nothing more and nothing bad.
And marblex, it would be nice if you would learn the difference. It is not about an army to kill or die, it is spiritual.
I knew the media would have a feild day with this one, I am glad it is out.

How do you not teach gays to children? Gays are out of the closet so to speak, They want to adopt children. Kids are aware of what is going on today, they are exposed to so much, the media shows them that certain things are except able, be thin, were almost nothing. Do what you want to do. If you think that you can wait to teach children later, sadly enough if they can see and hear, they will see and learn of things that ought not be. So, you must inform them truthfully.
And if you didn’t know the one word that somes up what Jesus taught was; Love. Not hate. Since 1962 when the prayer and Bible was taken out of public schools there was and still is a lacking in the youth. Low morals, Drugs and abuse.
