Disaster: Bush Says He’ll Continue Meddling in Middle East After His Presidency

George Bush has informed his inner circle that after he leaves office he plans to invite leaders from Middle East to his think tank, which will be part of his $500 million library, where he will give them guidance on the finer points of democratic governance:

If Bush really is allowed to continue meddling in the Middle East after he leaves office, there could soon be nuclear bomb craters dotting landscae from Tel Aviv to Teheran.

Indeed, senior officials close to Bush [say] that Bush’s plan after he leaves the White House is to continue to promote the spread of democracy in the Middle East by inviting world leaders to his own policy institute, to be built alongside his presidential library.

Too bad no one in his inner circle has the cojones to point out that continuing the sort of promotion he’s doing now would cause more harm than good. His approach — bombing Iraq back to the Stone Age and then installing a weak-as-treacle democracy among the ruins — is the biggest foreign policy disaster in our history.

Meanwhile, here at home, not since the Federalists passed the Alien and Sedition Acts in the Adams administration has a gang in government done more to assault the U.S. Constitution. Through his actions — from wiretapping U.S. citizens to creating “signing statements” that abrogate the bills he signs into law — Bush has demonstrated an aristocrat’s disdain for the institutions of democracy.

The president’s sad bluster about staying involved in Middle East politics would be funny if it weren’t so scary. Allowing him to meddle in the Middle East could easily result in nuclear-bomb craters dotting the landscape from Tel Aviv to Teheran.

Maybe he can promote mideast peace by having world leaders come and view his preserved remains… like Lenin. Maybe by seeing his corpse (after being tried and hung for war crimes,) leaders of all nations will shake their heads and say
never again. Kind of like a holocaust museum.

Of course, he;ll continue meddling in the Mideast. He works for Big Oil. His not being president doesn’t change that.

He doesn’t “work for” big oil. He IS Big Oil. But that doesn’t change the fact that the man is completely delusional and has to be removed from office as soon as possible.

Someone please stop that man before he destroys the world…

Watching this disaster being played out at a long distance (thank God), it is hard to forget that half of the voters at the last Election in the USA thought that Bush was the man for the job. They had had 4 years before to reach that judgement. You really have got what you deserve.

I believe George will do what he says after his presidency. He needs a psyciatrist but the legacy afterwards will have him continuing the “war president” mindset. He couldn’t have been a better selection for presidency to stand for the imperialists controlling the strings.
His library should be empty since he wanted to eliminate the librarys throughout the U.S. by reducing funding. The top shelf book “My Pet Goat” will go into the archives to prevent pilferage
since the rest were not read.

Please remember (meaning do not be so ignorant) that NOT ALL AMERICANS voted for Bush. Campaigns can sway votes but none of us can put a gun to someone’s head and tell them to not vote for a certain candidate. Do not lump all Americans in the same crap pile as the rest.

“Think tank”? “Guidance”? You’re kidding, right?

Bu$h was brought up in privledge, totally coddled, carefully guarded, and does not take responsiblity in the least for his own failed actions(nor is he made to), yet he’s been put on a pedestal and kept there regardless of being totally inept at not only the presidency, but at everything else he’s ever done. Who but the AntiChrist would get away with this? Just food for thought…

Taken verbatim from Wikopedia:

“Antichrists call themselves Christian, but teach deceptive, rather than blatant, false doctrine. The man of lawlessness (AKA “man of sin”) is an antichrist - opposed to God - wanting to be worshiped in the place of God. The “man of sin” is revealed before the second coming of Jesus.”

The solution to this is impeachment and trial. As they would say over at Afterdowning Street, “Fixing Intelligence For War is Treason”. Try Bush, his entire administration and then set up Electric Bleachers. Start a lottery for who gets to throw the lever. At $100.00 each, I’d go for 20 tickets, easily! Proceeds to pay down some of the debt created by IraqMire.

It is against the law for private citizens to engage in diplomatic affairs with other countries. This applies even to former presidents.

To C: Since when did bush ever let the phrase “against the law” stop him from doing anything?

You know the thing that gets me is that you Americans actually recognize your current government. Ignore these a holes and they cease to be a force in your life. Flat out ignore them - there are many amazing things going on that are worthy of your attention. If you continue to pay attention to these criminals you will get more of what they are offering - the deep dark brown stuff that is hard to remove from the sides of the toilet bowl. They actually are the stuff you want to get rid of. Pay attention to what you guys would rather have and condemn them to obscurity

I believe the correct spelling is “cojones”, but i could figure out what you meant. Who would come to a lecture by Bush about democracy if they didn’t have to? Maybe the same guy who would take hunting lessons from Dick Cheney.

The GWB Presidential Lie-berry will be complemented with a “Belief Tank” which according to Gary Trudeau:

“It’s like a think tank, only without the doubt.”

Oy.

“THINK TANK?” YOU KNOW HOW HE HAS TROUBLE SPEAKING ENGLISH. ARE WE SURE THAT HE DIDN’T MEAN TO SAY “DRINK TANK?”

Hey, howcome we are sooo much smarter than him, but he’s the president?

To Peter–Because we don’t have Daddy’s money!

Bush is a TRAITOR to the USA, along with Cheney and the PNAC criminals.

What kind of “library” will he have?

Two books and CLASSIFIED papers????

Burn in hell, TRAITOR Bush.

God Bless America and the WORLD!

My God, I can’t believe it. Do we have to send books to make up his library.

Don’t send books to Bush’s library unless they resemble “My Pet Goat”.

By the way is his library going to be in the midst of all his brush, since no one else wants it?

Just a little friendly suggestion to the SMU graduates. Turn your diplomas in and get a refund now while they still have some value.

Who in the right mind will want to confer with Bush after he leaves office (if there is still a world to confer about).

If Bush wants to do something for the Middle East, why doesn’t he invite the leaders of that region to the White House NOW to discuss the spread of democracy?

Oh. I forgot. That’s what a rational person would do, and Bush is not rational. And the idea that he can give “guidance” about
“democratic governance” is a sick joke. Strictly speaking, he’s not even President; he was not elected according to the Constitution. He’s anti-democracy to the core. What a hypocrite.

When I first started reading this, I thought, this has got to be a parody, perhaps from the Onion. I wouldn’t trust him with a fish tank, let alone a think tank. Maybe he doesn’t think AEI is nuts enough.

Will the conference room of George’s Glorious Golden Palace of Democracy (wink wink) be decorated with rubber wallpaper?

Gee — look how well his plan for democracy has worked in Iraq! Surely national leaders will be racing to sit at his feet and take in his marvelous wisdom.

And mark my words, if he gets his way and start war with Iran, we’ll all be looking back on the Good Old Days when we were just stuck in the meatgrinder of Iraq.

The Chimperor that raped the Constitution and the Republic — he’s going to lecture Arab despots on “democracy”? It seems that he has been their pupil, rather than the other way around.

Ironic that despite Condi promising us that democracy would flourish in Iraq, that Iraq has become nothing like the United States, yet the United States has become like Iraq under Saddam.

I always suspected little George was so obsessed with Saddam because he had “despot envy.” George and Dick salivate when they think of what they could do with Saddam’s powers.

Sounds like it will be a theme park for predators, despots, oligarchs and the sociopaths that still continue to think he’s on the right path. Surely His Chimperial Highness can’t be so totally deluded that he actually believes he can continue to “contribute” to world affairs — unless he’s just going to keep lighting fires under more tinderboxes.

What just a demonic minute here Folks! How could any World Leader, and especially those from the cradle of civilization pass up a chance to have a sit down with “Shrub the Decider,” He who speaks directly to and receives answers and messages from GOD! Didn’t GOD know and share with Shrub and “Right Hand Rummy,” where the WMDs where? And the Tubes, Holy Satan, the Tubes! I am dumbfounded that any GOD fearing Leader would not want to sit cross-legged at the feet of his Holiness, “The Shrub, the Divine Dispensor of Wisdom and Accomplished Missions.” Will they be hiring the Blackwater Knights Templor to control the crowds?

Comment by Bill Corto | Feb. 5, 2007, 3:16 pm |

Maybe “His Shrubberiness” can get a job as a security guard in some ware- house on a dock in Dubai. Sort of a quid pro (an almost) quo. He would get to wear a uniform, maybe even wear a badge. They might even start him off with corporal stripes so he could be like another infamous fascist ‘corporal’.

Bush “think” tanks on middle east democracy? A Big Brother minitrue, indeed!

LOL, Bush think tank??!! More like a stink tank.

The MidEast cringes in horror……

…as Dubya decides that his post-Presidency focus will be on continuing to advise on how to promote democracy in said turmoil-heavy region. Source: MSNBC Not that they want to look a gift horse in the mouth or anything, but can’t……
