Gay GOP Ex-Porn Star Cpl. Matt Sanchez Accused of Conning Iraq Donors

A Marine judge advocate says Sanchez “wrongfully solicited funds to support [his] purported deployment to Iraq” by coordinating a $300 payment from [a veterans group] and $12,000 from U-Haul Corporation.

Former Marine Reserve Cpl. Matt Sanchez, the darling of this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) — who once worked as a gay prostitute and in male films under the porn name “Rod Majors” — has been accused by the Marine Corps of conning $12,300 from a business and a veterans group by falsely claiming he was being deployed to Iraq.

On March 22, a judge advocate informed Cpl. Sanchez that:

Sanchez’s participation in porn films was part of the investigation, but that two of the three allegations against him involved lying “to various people, including but not limited to, representatives of the New York City United War Veterans Council and U-Haul Corporation” about deploying to Iraq at the commandant’s request.

“Specifically, you wrongfully solicited funds to support your purported deployment to Iraq” by coordinating a $300 payment from the UWVC and $12,000 from U-Haul, Jones wrote.

In an interview Thursday with Marine Corps Times, Sanchez said the fund-raising allegations are “demonstrably false” and that he never collected money from either organization.

Sanchez recently caught the attention of rightwing media types by claiming he was publicly humiliated by an anti-war group at Columbia University. The incident was reportedly investigated by the university and found to be false. This finding was irrelevant, of course, to conservatives who showered Sanchez with attention. He appeared on “Hannity & Colmes” and “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News, and was awarded the Jeanne Kirkpatrick Academic Freedom Award at CPAC because of his alleged contretemps with the war protesters at Columbia.

It was at CPAC that Ann Coulter famously called presidential candidate John Edwards a “faggot.” This incendiary moment lends irony to the famous photo taken of Coulter with Matt Sanchez that day at the convention hotel.

Despite quite a large cache of filmed evidence otherwise, Sanchez claims that he is not gay.

You’ve taken considerable liberties with the Marine Corps Times report where you found all this.

Anonymous (as usual, no guts): perhaps you’d care to enlighten us all as to exactly how “considerable liberties” were taken with the Marine Corps Times report?

This Pensito rundown seems pretty complete to me: the JA made the accusations, and Sanchez denies them, natch. What else do you think should have been included?

Or are you just making noise to deflect attention from the fact that one of your heroes is in deep doo-doo again?

Isn’t the Marine Corps all about personal honor and being honest and owning up to your mistakes, etc? I wonder why Dirty Sanchez hasn’t been called to task for his lies about being spit on by anti-war protesters, and telling those lies while wearing the uniform, as well.

I guess the Marine Corps wasn’t quite a total “conversion experience” (his words) for him.

Yes, as Rush Limbaugh says, “What are facts anyway?”

What “liberties” are you referring to? The Marine Corps Times article pretty much lays out what Sanchez is accused of. The Pensito Review, like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, is permitted to analyze and comment upon it freely.

What facts are you disputing, or do you just dislike the way it makes suckbag conservatives LOOK? (Like themselves, of course!)

I know that’s difficult for stupid conservatives with pre-teen Kojak fantasies to work out, but life is hard. “It’s hard work.”

Conservatives believe facts have a liberal bias, as Colbert once pointed out.

On a semi-unrelated note: does anyone see the resemblance between the Coulter-Sanchez subjects in the photo? Separated at birth? Bad photog? Perhaps they are clones and Ann is merely self-loathing?

Funny, this all is. I used to work with a pretty straight conservative woman who joked that God must have such a great sense of humor to give so many Republicans GAY boys and girls in their so-called “normal” families! I’d like to KNOW HOW can you deny you have done PORN when it’s right there on DVD and the internet???!!!
