Bush Whines to Texas Friends: Nobody Understands Me

In the 2000 campaign, we were told that George Bush doesn’t read polls. Unlike Bill “Finger-in-the-Wind” Clinton, Bush knew his own mind and besides he had his finger on the pulse of regular Americans. In reality, of course, he doesn’t need to read the polls since Karl gives him a full briefing every morning.

“His inability to harvest experience, and so to think and form successful judgments, is just so inexplicable.”

A story at HuffPost appears to confirm that Bush is not only aware he’s tanking in the polls, he’s whining about it:

[We’re] hearing that some big money players up from Texas recently paid a visit to their friend in the White House. The story goes that they got out exactly one question, and the rest of the meeting consisted of The President in an extended whine, a rant, actually, about no one understands him, the critics are all messed up, if only people would see what he’s doing things would be okay…etc., etc.

This is called a “bunker mentality” and it’s not attractive when a friend does it. When the friend is the President of the United States, it can be downright dangerous. Apparently the Texas friends were suitably appalled, hence the story now in circulation.

There’s no hope George Bush will learn anything from his failed presidency. What his party might learn from it is an open question.

Update: Trish saw this article at ABC News — 18 Big GOP Donors Dine With the Queen — which may offer a clue to the identities of the “Texas friends” who were subjected to Bush’s whining.

Bush Whines to Texas Friends: Nobody Understands Me…

Pres. Bush reportedly complained to some Texas visitors that no one understands him, and that his critics are all wrong about him. His presidency is tanking so he wallows in self-pity rather than analyzing his problems and taking corrective measures. H…

Chimpy doesn’t need to learn anything, because he already knows it all.

THAT is a dangerous mindset to have. Especially when the mind being set is nearly empty.

GWB has been, all his life, and will be, all the rest of his life, a subhuman, sub-intelligent, failure and fraud. He has nothing to offer, and he knows it now.

Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic….

The Ship of State, having become a great big ship of fools, is taking on water fast.

I still believe that Republicans will force out both Cheney and Bush before the end of the year. Republicans feel that he has become a two-ton rock tied to their swimmer’s body. Twenty-two nervous Republicans are up for re-election next year and the Presidential field looks weak/unable to rally their base. The losses could be worse than 1974 after Watergate tarred Republicans. Republicans will field weak, poorly financed candidates to challenge incumbent Democrats and many will retire out of frustration.

I can sense at least half of the Republicans being “Chaffeed” in ‘08. Glory be to America and our children if this happens…….then we can “fix” our own country! And it sure as hell needs it!

Even the moderate republicans have held tight with the right-wingers, and I think they’ve gone beyond the limit for keeping their seats.

quit picking on mr. president.
first it’s the whiny “you aren’t doing anything right” then they kick in with the “quit boffing condi” and “you shouldn’t drink so much”. where will it end? “give up the cocain” “listen to the people” what about me? i killed my boyfriend to marry dubya– ran the sob down– took a chance on an unknown $guy$. SO GET THE PHUCK OFF HIS BACK!!! He’s coming home so tense these days and heaven knows with all the church meetings I don’t have that much time to blow. The twins are doing fine, thanks for asking.

I am hoping Bush will do more than whine. This should be only the beginning of his sorrows. He deserves to cry, whail and then go completely insane if possible. Considering the condition he and Cheney has the country in. Innocent people dying by the thousands, because of lies they told. It is true, that a man will reap what he sows. And I believe it is reaping time, and there is no way he will avoid it. One cannot unring a bell once you ring it, so therefore you cannot undo something when it is done. Mr Bush and Cheney will suffer conquences for their deeds. They and they only will have to deal with it.

Kaneh bosm!

If ‘Mericans don’t start unnerstanin’ the chief, it just might make Barbara Bush’s blood boil again. Picking on her poor son.

Thing is: we do understand.
