Poll: Why Is Bush’s Approval Still So Amazingly High?

How does Pres. Bush do it? If the polls accurately reflected his job performance, not to mention the disregard for him among the public, his polling would be minus 32 — and yet:

Public approval of the job President Bush is doing now matches its all-time low, an AP-Ipsos poll says… Only 32 percent said they were satisfied with how Bush is handling his job overall, the same low point AP-Ipsos polling measured last January and a drop of 3 percentage points since May.

By any objective measure, a 32 percent approval is astronomically high considering he is hands-down the Worst President Ever. How does he do it? Here’s the answer:

Bush still wins approval from seven in 10 Republicans, though that is near his historic low for GOP support of 67 percent in January.

Bush has bungled everything he has touched, from the war in Iraq to fighting terrorism to the entire rack of domestic issues. The country suffers every day he is in office, and for the first time in a generation, the future of the United States is in jeopardy — not due to external forces but rather because of the incompetence of its current president.

Considering this, it appears that Republican deadenders put their adoration of George W. Bush ahead of their love for America. Contrast their overwhelming support for the president in contrast with his rating among normal Americans:

Only a quarter of those initially identifying themselves as independents expressed satisfaction with the president, about equaling his low with them reached in February. Eight percent of Democrats gave him their approval.

It’s obvious that the biggest crisis facing America’s future is not terrorism or the healthcare crisis, it’s our over-abundance of delusional conservatives.

You gotta be kidding me, right? This clown has got a 32% approval rating? No way, where could anyone have been on this planet that they have not heard all of the crap about this administration.

But, you wanna know what really bothers me about these people, in particular the VP, is how much time they have left in office when you look at what they’ve done already.

Are they going to try and seize power near the end on the premise of national emergency to stop terrorist?

No telling what anyone as delusional as these guys have been what they are going to do next.

I believe that the answer is quite obvious, which is that 1/3 of your voters, which is not the same than all the inhabitants ,is a Bush like critter. Now what shall become of your country is up to you.As for the rest of the world which has to put up with that 1/3 -our only- and I believe shared hope, is that you might cut each others throat, before you nuke us all

This has been a ongoing puzzlement for a couple of years until it dawned on me how the lying pollsters play the game. That the ratings continue to drop constantly is no secret – what they do is as soon as the polling nears 20% or so they reset the numbers back up to around 35% and start all over again.

I think there are several reasons for his approval still holding up.. First there are a lot of stupid and frightened people. Secondly for the past twenty or so years Conservative fascists like Limbaugh and Hannity and others have been making hugh bucks demonizing Democrats and others that many are fearful to admit Bush is wrong for fear all those “nasty anti American Democrats and Liberals” will take over. Andthere is the Nazi like realization that if you create enough fear, tell people they are under attack and appeal to their patriotism you can get them to believe and do just about anything.

Bush is just a low life, ignorant shallow little man but among the blind the one eyed man is King …or at least they want him to be..

We now live in a false reality. The fox news association and other big 4 media sources have created this false reality through their news broadcasts. The polls are cooked just like the fake news. Tax money goes to creating the false news and false pools. There are no repercussions to those that release false pools and it is done with alarming frequency.
