Liz Cheney to Join Fred ‘K Street’ Thompson’s Campaign

On MSNBC just now, Tucker Carlson said an announcement will come soon that Liz Cheney, the vice president’s not-gay daughter, is joining the as-yet unannounced presidential campaign of former Washington lobbyist Fred Thompson.

If he were to win in 2008, Thompson would be the first lobbyist elected president.

Since 2005, Cheney has served in the specially created job of Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Near Eastern Affairs, in the U.S. State Dept. Assuming Carson is correct, at the Thompson campaign, she will join other GOP operatives said to include Cheney-family lackey Mary Matalin and U.S. attorneys scandal figure Tim Griffin, the former Bush White House official who recently resigned as the federal prosecutor in Arkansas after evidence implicated him in Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign voter suppression activities.

If he were to win in 2008,Thompson would be the first lobbyist elected president. During his 18 years as a lobbyist, his clients included General Electric and Westinghouse, and he successfully pushed the passage of the deregulatory legislation that led to the savings-and-loan crisis of the 1980s.

Thompson also briefly served as a U.S. senator representing Tennessee.

Anytime there is money to be made, the Cheneys are there with their palms extended. Old Fred seems to be the most likely in the weak field of Republican contenders, what with a nutty Mormon, a Mccain who has been ruined by his friend bush, etc. So the Cheneys will hitch their wagon to his star and be first in line!! And where is mary’s husband at the moment? He alternates between jobs in the federal goverment and lobbying. What a family!!

There is no surprize at all to this. Money talks and poor people walk. Case closed !

If the GOP base feels that Giuliani can’t be their nominee b/c of perceptions on three social issues, then Thompson may be the one who gets it.

Liz and Big Ferddy, or, as I choose to call them, A Deviant and a Pinhead – Generation the 3rd. Dumya and Dick Vader are Generation Deux. Poppy and the sinile Gipper were Generation UNO! That tool Dan Quayle has never counted. NEVER! It’s greed, ambition, and naked avarice that matters way more than intelligence, ethics, and morals on K Street. Ditto the neo-conniving GOP. So, the Law and Order actor who studied for the Presidency by playing a genocidal land-grabbing plunderer of Wounded Knee is perfect. He can drive the red elecetion truck while old Liz takes care of the dirty work of getting him on the GOP top seat. It is perfect for when the Dems redefine the victorious meaning of DEFEAT-ocratic Party by whipping Freddy’s a$$ in November 2008.

Nothing like “Big Dick” Cheney cozing up to the next president, if everything goes Freddie’s way.

That way, the pardon that “Shooter” Cheney might need to get off his life sentence for crimes commited while in office will be a cinch.

I AM SO TIRED OF READING AND HEARING POLITICAL NEWS. WHY DOESN’T SOME OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE REALIZE THAT EVERYTIME ONE ANNOUNCES THAT HE WILL RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY THAT THAT IS HIS DECISION. QUIT BLAMING HIS RIGHT ON SOMEONE ELSE AS COHERSION. IF I WERE IN WASHINGTON I TOO WOULD BE WALKING THE STREETS FOR A GOOD MAN LIKE FRED THOMPSON. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT QUALITY OF LIFE MY GRANDCHILDREN WILL HAVE JUST AS HE IS ABOUT HIS LITTLE ONES. GOD SPEED SENATOR THOMPSON.

This is yellow journalism. Is that the left approach on Fred — to focus on one aspect of his career instead of all aspects. Prosecutor, lobbyist, Senator, Actor.

What have you done in your life?

Uh, Claire, turn off your caps lock. Also turn on your spell checking function. Hm, cohersion – sounds un-American to me, too! I hope they all are good men, but facts have shown that to be wrong. I guess it’s the facts that hurt you.

It is revelatory to hear from CLAIRE!!!!!, a hyperventilating granny streetwalker for Thompson.

And BOB: Yours is the approach from the right: Criticize the criticism but ignore the fact that the criticism is true. Fred Thompson was a professional Republican K Street lobbyist for 18 years — almost three times as long as he was a senator or an actor.

Colbert was right: Facts have a liberal bias.
