    I can’t imagine why Pelosi still has faith in our election system but she’s in a small minority in our party. Nan, if Bush/Cheney are still in charge in ‘08, it’s a slam dunk their party will not cede power. The Bush administration has too much to hide to allow a new team to come in and start lifting up the carpets and looking behind the furniture.

    Trish, I too have been warning of exactly the same thing. Why count on them leaving office, when all the operative clauses in the Patriot Act. The Military Commissions Act. FEMA, are in the fine print and in place for just such a “Martial Law” suspension of elections and indefinite detentions of “enemy combatants”?
