NationalPornSunday – Oct. 7, 2007

It’s not what you think:

Over the last two years, almost 200 churches throughout the country have taken part in National PornSunday.
October 7, 2007…

… is your chance to bring hope to those who are struggling with pornography. For some, it is ludicrous to link three X’s with church. For others, it’s long overdue. The one undeniable truth that can’t be ignored is the blatant push for all things sexual in our society. PornSunday seeks to drive the conversation about pornography into our churches, families, and lives. PornSunday wants to bring healing and recovery to those struggling with pornography.

One day. One message. Your voice. Churches across the country have become the strength and hope for those struggling with this dirty little secret, and now it’s your church’s opportunity. PornSunday allows you to begin this conversation and then, be equipped to talk about pornography and be prepared for the events that follow after addressing your congregation.

XXXchurch.com has compiled some of the best resources dealing with pornography and put them all in one PornSunday kit, that equips your church to talk about pornography and prepares your church to deal with the issues after PornSunday is over.

Call me old fashioned but I think pornography ought to be kept out of church.

Hee hee hee! I can just see all the ministers “boning up” for their “PornSunday” sermons! That ought to jerk people off their feet and onto their knees!

What’s the struggle? No internet? Can’t figure out how to turn off NetNanny? What struggle?
Simple deal: keep your church out of porn, we’ll forgo the naughty nuns, OK?

So, that means they are going to banish one of the most sexually saturated books available?

A book that describes rape, incest, sodomy, more incest and other lewd acts?

The book i’m referring to is the Old Testament.

I grew up Catholic and left the church after I came out.

Truth be told, I could tell you about what went on in pews of St. Mary’s on Sunday following Evensong but, I won’t.

All is not always what it seems in the Catholic church!

This is a case of calling your chickens home to roost to milk them!
Sex is a perfectly natural biological function necessary to the continuation of our species. Organized religion created the whole concept of pornography by demonizing sexuality. They are the ones who made it “dirty” as a means of exerting control over their believers, and now they are again using their construct to rouse their rabble. More control, more money, more “moral authority”.
If somehow people were permitted by their religious masters to accept that sex is natural, “pornography” would cease to exist.
Do you think that those hypocritical bastards will ever let that happen?
