Coulter to Medved: ‘Jews Believe That My Savior, a Jew, Was a Raving Lunatic’

On Monday, Ann Coulter went on the radio talkshow of rightwing social critic Michael Medved, who is Jewish, to clarify a statement she’d made on Donny Deutsch’s cable chat show a week or so earlier about her desire as a Christian to have Jews “perfected,” meaning, converted to Christianity:

“Here it is just a straight, plain, non-controversial statement of what all Christians believe. Of course, all Christians want everyone to be a Christian, like all feminists would like everyone to be a feminist.”
– Ann Coulter

COULTER: [Judaism], as I explained — Christians accept the Old Testament. Jews don’t accept the New Testament, so, you know, as long as we’re playing this new sport of “he who is offended first wins,” if anyone’s going to be offended by anyone else’s religion, the Jews believe that my savior, a Jew, was a raving lunatic, and you don’t see me sniffling and crying.

Later in the show, predictably, Coulter starts sniffling and whining, if not actually crying:

COULTER: I’m sorry. I just can’t take this seriously, Michael. I don’t know when Donny Deutsch became the Al Sharpton of the Jews, but I don’t think it’s working.

MEDVED: Well, the problem here is that a lot of the major Jewish organizations –

COULTER: Are lying. But they attack me — I mean, it’s — from what I can tell, it’s all the usual suspects. It’s always the same thing. Actually, the only thing that is different here is usually I have told a joke. It is a satire. Here it is just a straight, plain, non-controversial statement of what all Christians believe. Of course, all Christians want everyone to be a Christian, like all feminists would like everyone to be a feminist, though it’s maybe a little more important to us.

And yes, of course, we accept the Old Testament, which is what I said. And as I say in my current book, if the things I say are so outrageous, why won’t they quote me accurately? I am never quoted accurately and, once again, I’m not being quoted accurately here.

For the record, here is what she said to Deutsch:

DEUTSCH: That isn’t what I said, but you said I should not — we should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians, then, or –

COULTER: Yeah.

DEUTSCH: Really?

COULTER: Well, it’s a lot easier. It’s kind of a fast track.

DEUTSCH: Really?

COULTER: Yeah. You have to obey.

DEUTSCH: You can’t possibly believe that.

COULTER: Yes.

DEUTSCH: You can’t possibly — you’re too educated, you can’t — you’re like my friend in –

COULTER: Do you know what Christianity is? We believe your religion, but you have to obey.

DEUTSCH: No, no, no, but I mean –

COULTER: We have the fast-track program.

DEUTSCH: Why don’t I put you with the head of Iran? I mean, come on. You can’t believe that.

COULTER: The head of Iran is not a Christian.

DEUTSCH: No, but in fact, “Let’s wipe Israel” –

COULTER: I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention.

DEUTSCH: “Let’s wipe Israel off the earth.” I mean, what, no Jews?

COULTER: No, we think — we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say.

DEUTSCH: Wow, you didn’t really say that, did you?

COULTER: Yes. That is what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament, but ours is more like Federal Express. You have to obey laws. We know we’re all sinners –

DEUTSCH: In my old days, I would have argued — when you say something absurd like that, there’s no –

COULTER: What’s absurd?

DEUTSCH: Jews are going to be perfected. I’m going to go off and try to perfect myself –

COULTER: Well, that’s what the New Testament says.

DEUTSCH: Ann Coulter, author of If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, and if Ann Coulter had any brains, she would not say Jews need to be perfected. I’m offended by that personally. And we’ll have more Big Idea when we come back.

Michael Medved recently raised a few eyebrows with an essay that proposed six reasons why slavery wasn’t such a bad thing.

For once,Coulter may be right when she says that Jews consider her savior a raving lunatic. If Jesus Christ DID save her, He’d have to be nuts.

The only raving lunatic who needs to be perfected is Coulter’s producers who really hate America by contitinually providing her a hate forum for the past ten years.

To borrow a phrase from Martin Luther before he became unhinged, to Ann Coulter: If you’re the example of perfected Christianity, “…were I Jew I would rather be a pig than a Christian.”

You know, I’ve often wondered what Coulter is on when she fires off her mouth like that. What an ignoramus! “Perfected”? She sounds like a fool. “Sinner”? Is she from the backwoods or something? Surely she was putting him on in her obnoxious way? It’s getting to be more blatant daily to knock Jews and Blacl people, since they got tired of beating up Muslims. Who’s next?

Love Coulter. Libs hate her and misquote her and that works for me. Donny Deustch inherited his position and his money from daddy deutsch so he is a little insignificant dickless trust fund baby.. his name means “german” as in Zyklon B nazi..wonder if his family sold out other jews to survive and get here? wouldn’t be surprised. he and his dad before him sell a bill of deceptive shit to the public.. screw “the big idea”
