Maybe we will finally see some action…

Well, Nancy Pelosi sent it into congressional limbo where it will languish. It happened just as it was predicted by most moderates. This, despite Republican attempts to bring it to the floor.

They saw it as another opportunity to make sport of Democrats…

I for one am thankful. Why do so many WANT to “win by default”? Hey, if this were a football game that’s one thing but honestly…

I am not now nor ever have been, in the course of this brief correspondence emotional. I say that because I want YOU, “MADISON” to understand a few things as I respond; one last time to you.

Attack? No, I haven’t. If anything I extended a huge olive branch and opened the door for a meaningful polite debate over prudent use of time energy and resources. “daggumit” seems more reasonable than you?!?!?!

Did you even READ my last post? I don’t believe you are a twelve y.o. …they don’t use words like “foist” and “vitriol” except in shop class. However, you most assuredly have the maturity of one. I have no idea how you would know which political “wing” (if any) I subscribe to except that I won’t hop on your “lets ALL hate our country” and pull out all the stops to grind “YOUR” perceived “ENEMY”(s) into diatomaceous earth… (With all “vitriol”).

Anyone who read your last post can see where you, so very perfectly, made my argument for me. Thank you. As a Democrat; I am deeply embarrassed by folks like you and as long as the likes of you have the loudest (by that I mean shrill) voice, there will always be Malkins, Hannity’s etc. to “pwn” democrats.

All of the “back benchers” that got Democrats the majority sit silent. That does not bode well for the next election cycle. If you are really 12 may I suggest you pick up a history book and read about 1917 and a man named “Woodrow Wilson”?

If you choose not to do this and draw some parallels’ from then and now; you deserve to let others do all of your thinking for you. Look its okay and healthy to disagree with people you respect. I’m only 12 but my memory of the vicious hatred of the Clintons in the nineties is quite vivid. And you have to admit that the incompetence and malfeasance of Bush and Cheney makes all the self-righteous vitriol back then from the likes of Chris Matthews, Maureen Dowd, Ann Coulter, Barbara Olson, Bruce Fein, Kellyann Fitzpatrick, Michael Chertoff, David Bossie, Emmet Tyrell, Ken Starr, Victoria Toensing and countless others who made lucrative careers hating the Clintons seem pretty silly now.

Clinton was impeached over a sex lie. And we’re blinded by our anger at George W. Bush?

Here is a vitriol-free analysis of your Dear Leader: He is dangerously incompetent at everything but lying.

If I had voted for him — and then, after 9/11, if I’d allowed my mind to be so clouded by nationalism, xenophobia and terror that I had supported his plan to occupy Iraq — and after that disaster, if I had voted for him again, I would be ashamed. If in some alternate universe Bush was a Democrat, I would want him impeached. But that’s just me.

It’s interesting that you have never bothered to defend Bush, conservative ideology or the GOP. All you have done is attack me personally. Speaks volumes.

If it is always an “us against them” there will never be an US, (get it? U.S.). In a two party system, you will always have the far right and the far left. It takes civility to bring everyone closer to equilibrium. For example; Koo-koo-nuts and all of the others on the far left, have a communist agenda that have their place in society, albeit their tactics are akin to a Jr. High School bully and their bastard children are the Daily Kos, moveon.org. Bill Maher etc. On the far right you have this a-hole “Fred Phelps” who gets the award for being the single greatest case for atheism ever. The Swift Boat Vets, Pat Robertson etc…

Consider that in 1992 both ends of this political spectrum hated Bill Clinton; on the left they would have preferred Tom Harkin but he was unelectable. They all said, in caucus, “(Clinton), is our best shot at the White House” so they shut their FAR left down and towed their party’s line and he was [foisted] on the Nation (jk), no offense. The right had no secrets about how they felt now did they?

All of this HATE and RAGE against Bush and conservatives is consuming you. That’s what HATE will do. Most independents don’t personally know Bush or Cheney, or Pelosi or Reid, but they see all four of them as just being buffoons chucking rocks at each other not really wanting what’s best for our country. This “tit for tat” crap is just that; CRAP! I don’t give a rats’, you know what, who started it, and it needs to stop.

To put this into an “illustration” consider another steamy non-issue; Term limits: While most people favor them, they only favor them for another’s Representative, never their own. Direct your very transparent passion and you might just WIN some folks over. Keep on blindly attacking them and you will always, without fail, have the opposite effect. Stay safe young one.
