Why don’t we ever hear from those so-called “godly” candidates about that commandent that says “Thou shalt not kill.”

Or how about Hucky telling us what kind of hellfire and damnation await those who “Covet thy neighbor’s ass.”

If you neighbor is gay and you covet his ass, is that double-trouble?

And please say tell me that when they’re talking about “stoning” a person, they’re referring to the Bob Dylan song.

Huckabee: “I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that’s what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.”

There are so many things wrong with this statement that I hardly know where to start. In case it somehow missed you, he’s talking about constitutional amendments banning abortion and defining marriage. But, what I want to know is how Mr. Huckabee thinks he speaks for all Americans in his understandings of God’s standards. Maybe Mr. Huckabee doesn’t know that the Bible doesn’t explicitly address abortion at all, and that religions (and people of faith) differ on the question of when human life begins. Maybe Mr. Huckabee doesn’t know that the Bible doesn’t speak to adult same sex committed consensual relationships as we understand them today.

All the people who fulminate against gays might notice that the passage they love to quote applies only to men. So is lesbianism not an abomination? The point is that the Bible needs interpretation, regardless of what the wingnuts might say. And gays are not nearly as big an issue in Scripture as adulterers, which means a lot of Republicans aren’t going to heaven if Huck is right.

The wingnuts, like everyone else, need to be careful what they wish for.

America was once known as the place to go to escape religious persecution. If Huckabee gets his way and ammends the Constitution he will start an exodus of those who don’t want to be persecuted by the religious. Wouldn’t that be ironic.

Actually they are pseudo-Christian Zionist fascists. They are a corrupt cult and one with those who crucified Jesus in Jerusalem and will be the first to do it again if He shows up again without his heavenly hosts for protection. Jesus said turn the other cheek, those who live by the sword die by the sword, love your enemy, and quite a lot that would raise the bile of hate in these peoples throats.

Jesus preached against those who were outwardly pious but who didn’t have faith in teir heart. They are tombs, all white and clean on the outside but all putrid rot and diseased on the inside.

Don’t worry people. As psycho as Huckaboy is, he is NO different than ANY of the Repugs running for POTUS.

Thus, the American people are going to reject the Repugs in a way that they have never experienced before.

Does that mean all is rosy? No, but the Repugs have gone so loopy that even the typically gullible American Voter will be repelled in horror.
