Meet Rush Limbaugh’s New Trophy Girlfriend

I don’t know. She seems a bit old for him:

Limbaugh, a vocal advocate of “family values,” has been divorced three times, and is currently unmarried.

Conservative radio talker Rush Limbaugh’s got a new sweetheart – and she’s nearly half his age.

Limbaugh, who turned 57 Jan. 12, told Page Two he’s been dating West Palm Beach resident Kathryn Rogers [who is 31] for the past six months.

Limbaugh, a radio entertainer known for his extreme rightwing views, is a vocal advocate of “family values” who has been divorced three times, and is currently unmarried. He said he met Rogers at a celebrity golf tournament near his home in Florida:

“We met four years ago when Kathryn worked for (golf great) Gary Player. There was a charity tournament. She was rounding up the celebrities to participate in the event. She called me and I played. It was at The Floridian (Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga’s private course near Stuart).

“We’ve stayed in touch since and started dating in the summer.”

Limbaugh introduced the blue-eyed blonde to the world Saturday night with a red carpet walk before dozens of paparazzi at [a charity event held at] Miami Beach’s Ritz-Carlton.

Rogers has the quintessential trophy girlfriend job:

Rogers is director of VIP relations for the South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee. Her job involves showing visiting NFL owners and the Tom Cruises of the world a good time when the next Dolphin Stadium Super Bowl rolls around in early 2010.

As a teenager, she raised money for an organization that Limbaugh views as an evil scourge — the United Nations.

“It was for UNICEF (the UN’s children’s fund),” Rogers said. “I’m not sure he’d think it’s evil. Rush is an incredibly great guy. Very different from what people think.”

She says they do talk politics and that she has her own views.

Here’s her professional bio:

Kathryn Rogers serves as the Director of VIP Relations and Hospitality Services for the South Florida Super Bowl XLI Host Committee. Rogers was part of the staff for the Super Bowl XXXV Task Force in Tampa. Most recently she spent five years as the Executive Director of the Gary Player Foundation based out of Palm Beach, Florida.

Rogers has run high profile private golf events and galas around the world, co-hosted by icons such as Wayne Huizenga, Nelson Mandela and Prince Albert of Monaco and has done consulting work for the PGA of America. She worked with UNICEF and the American Embassy in the VIP Relations field prior to moving back to the United States.

Rogers is originally from New England, but grew up around the world, as the child of United States Diplomats. She attended university in London and developed a passion for sports and community outreach after attending global events such as the World Cup, Ascot, Kentucky Derby, The Olympics and Tour de France.

Limbaugh’s struggle with addiction to opoids, including OxyContin, reportedly caused him to go completely deaf in 2001. His hearing was substantially restored after he underwent cochlear implant surgery that same year.

Way to go, Rush! She is no doubt beautiful, well educated, and successful. At 31, I suspect she’s old enough to know by now what and who she likes. Does she have a sister?

    Not true.

“The suggestion of a link between progressive hearing loss and opioids comes from case reports on two types of opioid medications: propoxyphene (Darvon, Darvocet) and hydrocodone/acetaminophen compounds like Vicodin. Oxycontin AKA “hillbilly heroin” itself has not been associated with deafness.”

I’m a gay man (40) who has a partner (64). He looks a lot like Rush. Rush is pretty handsome, rich, and powerful. A lot of folks would find that attractive. I’ve met Rush before. I’d totally go for him if he was gay and available. I suspect a lot of middle aged women would and more than a few young ones….So the trophy bride isn’t necessarily a gold digger. Maybe she just likes a big, thick guy….

Rush looks like crap these days. The guy needs to get in shape so that he can actually perform for this beauty.
For someone who promotes family values, he sure does not walk the talk. Does he have children? Can he actually maintain a normal relationship based on love, attraction and respect rather than on money. I can have a girl like this is I move to a 3rd world country like Brazil. Doesn’t mean I would be happy.

Actually Rush has lost about 65 lbs, he recently reported (6/09). Heck, I’d date him if I was single and if he’d agree to. He’s brilliant and interesting, and reportedly a very nice man. I listen to him every day. I hope this woman is sincere and not a gold-digger (one of the problems he has had with women).

    • June 16, 2009 - 5:53 am | Permalink

LHC, there’s a very easy way to know when Rush is lying: His lips are moving and sound is coming out of his pie-hole. Anyone who is so easily duped that they believe Limbaugh has lost 65 pounds just because he says so, would also believe he’s “brilliant and interesting” and “reportedly a very nice man,” despite the evidence — he’s thrice married, talks about women like they are all stupid — to the contrary.

Thank you for reminding us why the gullibility of conservatives should make us all fear for the future of our country.

Dittoheads calling liberals “haters” is classic projection. All Limbaugh does is spew hatred, bigotry and lies, and his empty-headed listeners eat it up with a spoon.

The unreasonable, hate speech that comes from the left about Rush is just mind boggling. I can always tell a liberal by the hate in their words. I challenge the left liberals to listen to Rush for 3 solid weeks then point out the lies (you will find none. And I’m a proud “dittohead”. And a woman who loves his comments about women.

    • June 22, 2009 - 12:38 pm | Permalink

I have listened to Rush — which is precisely how I know that he lies constantly, that he is a tool of the corporatist takeover of this country and that he has nothing but disdain for his listeners.

Every word this man utters is crafted to hammer home the lie that right wingers are good, kind and decent and liberals are evil. But if you listen carefully, what you hear is that Rush Limbaugh’s central message is that right wingers are all victims of a giant liberal conspiracy — in other words, the biggest losers on the planet.

What is most amazing about it is that his poor deluded followers are so intellectually stunted that they buy it, hook, line and sinker.

If you are proud to call yourself a Dittohead — which by definition means you are proud of being unable to think for yourself — then it is not surprising that you are in the cult-like sway of this sick and fundamentally evil demagogue.

      Seek help.

He — and by extension his mindless followers — are what’s wrong with this country. Thank god there are only 20 million of you.

You’re right that we hate him, because he hates democracy and justice and everything that has made this country great.

HA! That’s rich. The meager number of regular Rush listeners (3 hours daily) utterly eclipses the audiences of every left wing radio and t.v show!

If you hate Rush, it’s because you hate capitalism, free markets and individual freedom. Pure and simple. In the day and age of 4 trillion dollar deficits and pseudo science, Rush is a breath of fresh air. An independent thinker, in a day and age of Koolaid drinkers.

You aren’t going to recognize this world in 4 years when inflation is sky high due to the monetization of debt….when you won’t be able to get access to healthcare if the government thinks you’re not deserving…..when we have freely and fully disarmed ourselves to our enemies, and when the free market economy is choked off by high taxes.

Fortunately, the Obamamaniacs are reducing in number day by day. People are beginning to see that we are currently being run by the most left-wing, anti growth pseudo-intellectual batch of idiots in the history of this great country.

Thank your founders for establishing our near perfect government model which allows us to toss out a significant section of Congress every two years.

Jon, You mention a “vast LEFT-wing conspiracy” AND liars?? De-ja-vous moment here. If Rush has been “lying” 3 hours a day for over 20 years, please name the most blatent (easiest for you to explain) example.

I’m in the “middle,” one who listens to him AND those in Hollywood, print media, radio news, TV news, cable networks, college professors, text books, and magazines, y’know, open-minded. Take the subject of Global Warming for example. All but one of the above mentioned sources of info report GW as fact and completely ignore sources that may cast doubt on what has become a politically protected issue. Rush provides the only reasoned dissent to all of the “consensus” and junk science that has evolved in pop culture.

“If everyone agrees, then someone is not thinking.”

A man facing distain for stating an alternate opinion to the consensus must have courage. Like early astronomers/explorers saying the Earth was “round” at a time when the consensus was that it was obviously “flat.” Fear of peers and of centralized power stunted acceptance of this theory (Political Correctness, even 500 years ago!).

Now, Rush will not only promote his theories as if they were fact (just as schools promote evolution, GW, etc. as fact), he goes all out to poke fun at the left’s sacred cows. His humor is what keeps his listeners engaged (and his detractors enraged!). That is why he’s still the only guy who can keep 20 million people every day entertained and educated.

BTW, mail a tea bag to your Congressman today and tell him/her what is wrong with the USA.

Sorry for any mispellings or grammatical errors in advance, Dr. Den.

Dawn, we wouldn’t have the deficits if your and Rush’s boys in the GOP-controlled White House, Congress, Judicial branch and on Wall Street hadn’t driven the world economy into the ground over the past 30 years. Like it or not, this is Bush’s economic collapse, just like the Great Depression was Hoover’s. (I know you have no idea what I’m talking about because I’m referring to, you know, American history, but look it up. I dare you.)

KNM, Rush has an agenda, which is to do his bit into converting our democratic republic into an oligarchy — which means a system in which a very few super-wealthy despots own 96% of the wealth and are serviced by a small middle class of doctors and shopkeepers, while 92% of the population languishes in Third-World poverty. (This the right wing system in Mexico today that is the true cause of illegal immigration.)

That’s not a system I want to live under, and I’m glad that “only” 20 million American Dittoheads do.

Finally, it always amazes me when people say, “I’m a smart, normal American, but I’m also a Dittohead.” In fact, the two are mutually exclusive.

Very good point about the deficits. The GOP had the opportunity when it had a majority in the House and Senate under President Bush, and still chose to spend uncontrollably, abandoning a key conservative principle. McCain was one of those Senators who spent wildly, abandoning fiscal responsibility, all to keep his political power. Rush pointed him out, and had to face the music when McCain became the GOP nominee. Notice, Rush did not support McCain, he waged “operation chaos” (you gotta admit, the guy is funny, and smart) not only to keep the Dems spending money to fight eachother, but to avoid having to support a guy who was the lesser of two evils.

Sorry, but what I’m saying is that Rush is not “one of the boys” in the GOP who ran up deficits. He is a strict Constitutionalist Conservative, and, for a while, the only one in voice media. “His boys” were the Gingrich ’94 Congress. Funny, when the MSM says that Clinton balanced the budget, no credit is given to Gingrich’s Congress. And when the Democrat Congress that creates, empowers, and oversees the GSE’s (FREDDIE, FANNIE, SBA, etc.) and they fail, the Congress’ failure is assigned to the President.

To counter those who say people who listen to Rush can’t think for themselves: We have public schools (dependent on government largess and unionized) teaching our kids during the day. Hollywood (more openly liberal than the public school teachers) entertaining them the rest of the time. MSM has been quite liberal since Cronkite (RIP, sir, but he was a Liberal none-the-less), Brinkley, Huntly, and Murrow. Print media, Newsweek, NYT, Washington Post, etc., all have slant hard to the left. The end result is people who have been raised in the center of the liberal world, find anything that Rush (JFK, or Teddy Roosevelt) says to be extreme. Who’s not thinking here? Stalin, Hitler, et. al. used the same tactics and promised to use them on us when given the chance.

Rush’s agenda is the same as Thomas Jefferson’s. If it’s not in the Constitution, it’s not the government’s business. I’ve not heard Rush say that he’s in favor of a few wealthy people wielding all of the power. In fact, he’s been the lone media voice for the small business owner. I’m not sure who’s statistics you are using, but if 96% of “the wealth” belongs to the “super-wealthy despots,” that’s still 4% better than having 51% of the US citizenry servicing the government and thus voting this country into permanent socialism.

Rush is the epitome of the informed, educated, compassionate, and thinking-person in America.

Despite the numerous lies and rhetoric of the emotional-based ‘left wing’ in society, Rush really does expound the traditional viewpoints and attitudes of the majority of mainstream Americans. Any contradictions to this basic premise is just merely wishful and delusional thoughts from an out-of-touch liberal extremist viewpoint. I guess this is why such extremists try to paint the picture of Rush as being a hate-monger, a liar, or other such blatant falsehood.

Simply said, Rush gives public voice to common-sense and traditional freedom-loving Americans who hold true to the constitution and the values that make America truly great and unique in the world.
