Oh my, it must be so difficult to be a Republican today when your only choice is an old, corrupt politican who is not even liked by his own party.

Please read the entire comment by Michelle Obama. She is talking about how she is proud that people are politically involved.

This is just more of the Republican “Southern Strategy”.

It takes a racist to imply that Mrs. Obama is complaining about being black and that she is unpatriotic.

Peggy is just projecting her prejudice!

Notice the WSJ writer identified only “A lot of white working-class Americans didnâ€™t come up with those things”. She myopically appears unconcerned with a lot of non-white working-class Americans. Michelle Obama certainly is aware of all Americans and that’s why pride can take old as the votes come in from each state. Votes calling for progress to once again rebuild America, “the land that never was but must be…” to use Langston Hughes’ words.

Don’t confuse pride with love for country. I love my country, but I am not proud to be an American at this time in history. I am actually ashamed of my country for allowing a jackass to take power and destroy our reputation. And I am ashamed of Democrats for not standing up to that jackass. America, my country, is not something to be proud of, but something to care for and fight for. Since when did pride become a virtue?

Yeah, Michelle Obama is pretty savvy, choosing to be “black at a time when America is trying to make up for its sins and be helpful.” I’d respond more to this but outrage fatigue is already setting in.
