Seriously, as a doddering 64 year old, I have a problem with the ageist argument. I would make a wonderful President and an even better emperor–it all depends on a persons vitality. If you are against McCain (as I am) because he is a total piece if crap, say so–but don’t hit him with the age prejudice ’cause it’s hurts too many other people who aren’t a piece of crap, just older Americans.

Hey guys, I’m not dissing older folks. I hope to be one myself someday. Indeed, if Obama wins this election, I’ll be faced with the unprecedented situation of being older than the president of the United States.
But I guess you fellows are used to that ….
Buck, I know that your intentions are the best and that you hold older people in high regard and all that, but you can surely see that, intentional or not, your comments can be construed as an insult to all of us by inference. Make the”age” case against McCain if you must, but be very careful to make it against him specifically (if that’s even possible).
You’re lucky that encroaching senility will cause me to forget this whole thing by nightfall.
