Well, as a FL certified teacher, I only WISH I had time to worry about the sexual goings on of the governor and McCain. Here in this GOP school district in SW FL, we have a retired Army colonel as the new superintendent, and I believe his credentials are fake.

The one newspaper in town does NO investigative reporting whatsoever (The Naples Daily News aka The Naples Daily Snooze).

At the upcoming school board meeting, he plans to bust the Teamsters Union, fire all the school district’s janitors, and hire a private cleaning company.

I’m sure there are many people in this town who would appreciate it if the Pensito Review would give this jerk some press.

It is well accepted in many high end social circles to have arranged marriages which serve a business, political or social purpose. Marriages or partnerships based upon something other than love or romance are not so rare at the highest levels of Society. In America in 2008, it should not matter whether someone is gay, straight or bisexual. This gotcha game we play with our political leaders would come to an end, if we could out how to eliminate as a legitimate issue who someone has consensual sexual relations with. America has had to live through the drama of BILLARY, an arrangement between a Male Sexual Predator and a Lesbian Power Hungry politician. I am more concerned about what people do with the power afforded them. If Charlie Crist has enough money and clout to keep Carol Rome materially satisfied, perhaps she is willing to look the other way. At that stage of life, most of these Socialites care more about shopping adventures, beach houses and travel than sexual adventures. Hence the reason why so many straight men turn to the professionals: escorts and massage therapists or younger women who perhaps are far less jaded.

the un-gay tape is one thing, disgusting to think of, but why aren’t the media asking mccain how he feels about crist bringing his still married “girlfriend” to the ranch, parading her in front of the cameras? one would think mcccain has no interest in this tawdry nonsense contaminating his campaign – thy guy has enough problems!

The problem isn’t whether Crist is gay or not. The problem is that he and the Florida Legislature have totally screwed up this state! That’s what needs to get out there. If he were to become president, God help us all! First they cut the millage rate for cities back in the fall and cost us (cities) a small fortune in revenues to, oh gee, hire cops, firefighters, provide programs and services to our citizens. Then Charlie went out and spent a friggin’ fortune to get a very bad Amendment I to pass in January. He went to NY and had Donald Trump raise money for him to use in his campaign to again destroy city coffers. Our property taxes were cut by a mere average of $240 per home, but cities were desimated by this. We’ve had to cut jobs in our city, programs, etc. And now Charlie insists that the state is in great shape and he plans to cut the property tax another 25% next year! Where does he think cities are going to get the money to pay for everything? News media asked him if he still thought the amendment was a good idea when we were fighting fires down here. Two trucks of firefighters had to be rescued because their trucks broke down!! Three times Charles ignored the question. The last time he said things were fine and we work with what we have and we have the best out here with that big goofy grin on his face!! Things are not fine, Charlie. We’re in serious trouble. They cut our education budget and now we’re 50th in the country in money spent per student. Gee, there’s something to be proud of!! No, the gay issue is far from the biggest problem. It’s the way he runs the government – or in his case, DOESN’T!!!

The cable newsers showed B-roll all weekend, probably provided by the campaign, of all three prospective veeps and their wives/dates coming down a flight of steps. Mr. and Mr. Romney and Mr. and Mrs. Jindal walked down with normal decorum. Charlie and Carole (who was not identified, thus leaving the uninformed to assume she was his wife) were holding hands and almost skipping as they alighted the steps. It's going to take more than a PG sex tape to counteract that visual. Oh, and Roger Stone's sleaziness is worth a revisit: he's the one who warned Crist earlier this year that he'd have to get married if he wanted to be vice president, and Stone is also behind the Hillary-hating website, Citizens United Not Timid (C.U.N.T.)
