Paris Hilton’s Mom, McCain Contributor, Responds to Ad

Jon Stewart already pointed out one problem with the McCain “Celebrity” ad when he named it the Dick Move of the Week.

Jon Stewart: “McCain’s saying to the Hiltons, ‘I thank you for your support. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go take a nationally televised dump on your daughter.'”

Demeaning Obama is not why this is a dick move by McCain. It’s a dick move by McCain ’cause it turns out one of the fine young ladies featured in this ad…her parents, the Hiltons, contributed $4,600 — the maximum amount you can give — to the campaign of none other than one John McCain.

John McCain’s saying to the Hiltons, “I thank you kindly for your support. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go take a nationally televised dump on your daughter.”

Although Stewart made his comments as soon as the ad appeared, it turns out, that’s exactly how it struck the Hiltons too. Kathy Hilton’s response, posted today on the Huffington Post, was short, sharp, and…right on.

In its entirety:

I’ve been asked again and again for my response to the now infamous McCain celebrity ad. I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of the money John McCain’s contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country’s time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States.

Wow, with supporters like these, McCain doesn’t need enemies.

Britney and Paris Hilton would both vote for a republican president if they were led to a voting booth. Old “yellow teeth” does it again.

Awhoops. Mean Mr. McCain can’t help but trip all over himself can he?

When someone like Ms. Hilton gives you a jab like that, you really should feel bad. It also shows just how low McCain is willing to go, and that he will put aside all decency, just to win. A man who accepts money from a supporter, and then uses them in a negative ad, is really trashy.

Yes well. Unfortunately for the ultra rich Mommy Hilton, she got exactly what she deserved. By supporting the George Bush clone, she’s shown herself to be as big a whore as her idiot daughter. Two more votes from the rich and selfish for Johnny McSame!

The great Rovian minion backfire. Is McCain now looking for campaign team number 4? McCain found the ad humorous; unfortunately Mrs. Hilton feels the ad campaign wasted contributor money and was silly. What a platform plank to go forward with—silly and wasteful!

I can’t believe she and her husband gave McDoofus $4600.00 – just a drop in the bucket to them but what poor judgement. Oh, yeah, I’m talking about the Hilton’s. They seem to be the epitome of poor judgement.

Please notice that no one (including the Hiltons) are saying what McCain’s ad said was incorrect.

Britney DID issue a statement protesting that her image was used without permission (McCain didn’t bother to ask, just assumed). This young woman is suffering from Bipolar disease which is very serious. Her trustee is her younger sister who just became a mother. I doubt if they have a lot of time to deal with the fact that the republicans violated their rights for stupid political gain.

    I like the name
McDoofus. Use it again and again and again till it sticks.

It would be great on live TV to ask
Senator McDoofus, oh I’m sorry, Senator McCane.

Ferragamo “Pregiato Moccasins” and that the McCain’s
    own eight private
homes. Eight multi-million dollar private homes–just like you and me.

As slimy as these tactics of negative advertising are, they are proven to work time and again. And they appear to be working this time round. The last Gallup Poll shows Obama and McCain are virtually tied with 44% support each.

Don’t say it can’t happen. McCain could win this thing!

Wrong, Dave, plenty of people have said that Obama was head of the Harvard Law Review, worked as a community organizer, was elected to the Illinois Senate, the United States Senate and then became the first African-American to win a presidential nomination. Whether he wins in November or not, he will be remembered in United States history forever.

No mere “celebrity” has ever done those things.

By comparison, John McCain was a D-student (even worse than the c-Student current occupant). He totaled five fighter jets, including the one he was shot down in. Conservative POW advocates have accused of him collaborating with his communist captors against the United States. He divorced his first wife, the woman who waited for him faithfully and raised his children while he was in Vietnam, because she’d had a debilitating accident (an act for which he earned the eternal hatred of Ronald and Nancy Reagan) and married a petite blond 20 years his junior who happened to sit on a fortune worth $200 million. But even that didn’t stop him from getting in up to his eyeballs in the Silverado scandal.

Actually, it’s a complete waste of time to follow Paris Hilton, but so many millions of Americans do.

Also, the energy “plan” Paris touted in her little video was bipartisan claptrap.

Safely drill for oil offshore? What for? It won’t come on line for ten years!

Better: higher fuel efficiency, conservation and regulation of the futures market; ideas Paris is evidently ignorant of…
