Confirmation that Palin Pick Was a Mistake

richard_viguerie.jpgI just received in my in-box incontrovertible confirmation that John’s McCain’s choice of a running mate was a really bad one — arch-conservative Richard Viguerie thinks it’s a good one.

He says that the selection of Gov. Sarah Palin as John McCain’s vice presidential running mate “unites the Republican Party and energizes its conservative base.”

But wait, there’s more:

McCain has chosen to balance his ticket with a principled conservative. Governor Palin’s life story is one of sticking to principle. She is living proof that a person can take on the corrupt political establishment – including corrupt leaders in her own party – and achieve great things.

There’s an old expression in politics: Go along to get along. Not this time. The selection of Sarah Palin is one big kick-in-the-pants to the corrupt establishment in both parties.

Congratulations to John McCain for hearing and responding to conservatives. Conservatives, the base of the party, have been listless. But, now, nearly all will work enthusiastically for the McCain-Palin ticket. In fact, this is the most enthusiastic conservatives have been since the era for Ronald Reagan.

That’s not all, though, Viguerie had one more over-the-top gush left in him: “This is a grand-slam home run. Conservatives’ feet haven’t touched the ground since this announcement.”

Sarah Palin is a bad choice for V.P. without Richard Vigerue’s compliments.

Palin choice LOL. one heartbeat from the Pres and doesnt even know what the veep does. holy crap.they have royally screwed up. no normal thinking human would vote for this unried, babe in the woods (literally). They had to have a charming family to parade before us,to compete with the utter charm and about time family of abama.no no way to grampy mcsain.

Nothing personal, but Palin seems to think she’s hooking the 18 million that supported Hillary simply because she’s a woman. Her battle cry of “we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all” isn’t going to cause the intelligent women who supported Hillary to change their core party beliefs. Palin’s approach leaves one wondering whether she thinks this is a beauty pageant and the VP slot is the political equivalent of Miss Congeniality. I have nothing bad to say about her as a person…she seems nice enough…just relatively naive.

God help us!

I am terrified of this woman becoming the President.

I have a feeling she won’t last through the month and Karl Rove will force McCain to pick Romney.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but if Obama loses this thing, I’d feel much better with Romney running the country than Palin. The truth is McCain is too old to believe he’ll make it through his first term.

I just pray we won’t have to worry about it and Obama is sworn in in January.

This is a big mistake, McCain should have known better - I’m afraid for the future of this country.

Good for McSain,

He fell right into his own trap. Believeing that woman will change parties and vote for Palin for being a pretty woman. The Reeps talk about Obama being inexperienced but what about her! So she ran a town with 9000 people big deal. She said no to the bridge but it was built anyway. SO she has no control over the men in her own party.
Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves. Anyone up for a necktie party! LOL!
