Karl Rove Says McCain Ads Go Too Far

The world must have turned on its axis. Cats must be barking and dogs meowing. How far do you have to go for Karl Rove to say you went too far?

Rove has leveled similar criticism against Obama.

Rove: “There ought to be an adult who says, ‘Do we really need to go that far in this ad?’”

“McCain has gone in some of his ads — similarly gone one step too far,” he told Fox News, “and sort of attributing to Obama things that are, you know, beyond the ‘100 percent truth’ test.”

“They ought to — there ought to be an adult who says, ‘Do we really need to go that far in this ad? Don’t we make our point and won’t we get broader acceptance and deny the opposition an opportunity to attack us if we don’t include that one little last tweak in the ad?’” he said.

Of course, saying Obama voted to teach sex education to children before they were old enough to read is way beyond the “tweaking” category. And Rove makes it sound as if Obama “similarly” smeared McCain. In fact, he hasn’t.

But no one seems willing to use the L-word any more.

So allow me: McCain is lying. Sarah Palin is lying. People who lie are liars. McCain and Palin are liars. They have no truth to offer. Is that plain enough?

It’s interesting how the dems continually slam Carl Rove, until his statements reinforce their vitriol for the republicans. I don’t care what the media says, if you connect the dots, it’s obvious that Obama’s lipstick/pig comment, which came just days after Palin scored points with her pitbulll/lipstick statement, was an ugly sexist response from Obama. Now, Obama is crying that he was misinterpreted, while the media, once again assists him in playing the victim. The deck has been so stacked in favor of Obama, whether it’s the media’s refusal to vet Obama in the first place, to giving Obama free rides with Wright, Farrakhan, Rezko, Ayers, etc.. The media, as well as shows like The View, are continuing to show extreme bias against Senator John McCain, while kissing Obama’s ass.

Could it be that people just like Barack and don’t care for McCain.

It’s a race, for goodness sake. The one with the most supporters wins.

Aren’t we running around the world shoving democracy down everyone’s throat so that they too can have a race where the one with the most votes… whether you like it or not… wins?

So, Howard, Palin can call herself a “bitch,” which is what she’s referring to when she says hockey moms are “pitbulls with lipstick,” but this is a sexist statement?

OBAMA: Let’s just list this for a second. John McCain says he’s about change, too. Except — and so I guess his whole angle is, “Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics. We’re really gonna shake things up in Washington.” That’s not change. That’s just calling some — the same thing, something different. But you know, you can — you know, you can put lipstick on a pig; it’s still a pig.

He didn’t even refer to her indirectly in this statement.

You can lie to yourself if you want to, but lying to us about this is a waste bandwidth.

There is not enough “vitriol” such as this when it comes to outright lies from candidates for the higest office in our nation. To dismiss this as nothing more than vitriol from Democrats is to lie to yourself. It shows an enormous lack of integrity within a group of people when they not only tolerate but support people who are proven liars.
