The Obama campaign provides a terrifying glimpse into the future, if people don’t register and then vote the right way.
I’m not sure how to feel about this ad. The New Age side of me worries about the power of visualization, which I believe is strong.
What do you think? Is this a good way to get out the vote?
Update: My mistake. The ad was produced by VoteForChange, not the Obama campaign. And it looks like they have pulled it.

Trish–your “new age” side understands that you DO get what you wish for. The universe DOES deliver what you envision. This ad is a potential disaster, as it will be seen by millions, compounding the strength of the visualization. I’m not joking when I say that even posting this ad here adds to the danger, and you should consider pulling it.
Best regards to you all.
Thanks JohnD, for not laughing at the idea that images have power. Unfortunately, we stick to a purist’s version of blogging here, wherein one does not pull any posts, whether they be wrong, personally embarrassing, or whatever. We just update, and mark accordingly.
I first saw this on another site and was unaware that the Obama campaign had produced it. Unbelievable.
I don’t see any way this helps. People who fear a McCain victory don’t need “scaring.” This ad feeds the opposition, and once it’s out there, it can’t be recalled. It may not hurt Obama — but it was unnecessary and cannot help. Period.
