A new CNN poll shows what a poor decision John McCain made when he caved in to Karl Rove and Steve Schmidt and selected Sarah Palin as his running mate. She is dragging the Republican ticket down by at least two percentage points.
Pollsters asked likely voters how they would choose if they could vote for the vice president all alone, without the candidate being tied to a presidential contender.
“Just after the GOP convention in early September, 53 percent said they would vote for Palin over Joe Biden if there were a separate vote for vice president. Now, Biden would beat Palin by 12 points if the running mates were chosen in a separate vote,” said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.
Given the same option in voting for president, the difference was evident. If it were just Obama against just McCain, Obama would win 52 percent to 48. Add Palin on McCain’s side and the number goes down to 46 percent for the Republican team, giving Obama a six-point edge.
On the one hand, I’m glad McCain is a spineless megalomaniac who will do anything to be president including selling his soul, which he clearly has. On the other hand, I’m appalled that he’s loosed Sarah Palin on the world. Of course, someone like her, with the glint of the zealot in her eye, would have probably oozed out sooner or later anyway.

Seriously… every Mother in America knows that enduring / having a baby past 40 , heightens the chances for mental retardation and serious health challenges for your future young one… and she decided (…remember, she is exercising a choice– something she does not give Mother who CHOOSE abortion– even in rape cases) to keep her Down syndrome child… or by the way, “America , you have a friend in the White house to pay for the needs of my Down Syndrome child… I choose America to pay for the extra medical care, my child needs” and… you other 15 million Americans without Health Care– “you’re on your own…”

god could have not been that mad at us to give us the palin/mccain ticket to run this country and now i can breath. i forgot to remember was it mccain/palin or palin without mccain ticket. she did nothing but talk about barack obama and something that was so far off that i thought she was running for pta mom or class president it was just to foolish to even listen to longer than 5 minutes. i can’t lie and tell u that i listen to the entire speech that she went around from state to state to campaign. after 5 minutes or maybe 10 minutes the voice just becaming to annoying to listen to anymore. so for sarah palin and her family please go back and stay there and if u think to run in 2012 please remember my name lisa and vote for me i think i have more common sense then she does and vote for me i think i can answer the question that was ask and i read every magazine from newsweek to reader digest.
