I find it distasteful when different people quote scriptures from the bible about gay issues. Yes, gay prohibition is in the bible, along with lots of other rules strait, and gay people break. I remember in the bible Jesus says, "He who is with out sin cast the first stone". It's funny that tons of ammo is ready to be thrown at gay and gay supporters, yet there isn't a single person that hasn't broken one of God's rules. If every broken bible rule was taken off tv, there would be nothing to watch. A disgruntled 21 year old.

The lack of even one openly queer cabinet member along with the involvement of a homophobic religious extremist like Rick Warren shows that Obama is just another Clinton or another Bush.

Steve, If there are so few gay people, why do haters like Rick Warren, James Dobson, Pat Robertson and the rest work so hard to shear their flocks of hundreds of millions of dollars every year to suppress gay rights?

If gays are so insignificant, wouldn't those hundreds of millions of dollars be better spent feeding the hungry and housing the homeless?

It's always interesting when so-called Christians come on this site and waggle their fingers and quote Scripture in judgment of gay people. As I'm sure you, as a Bible-believing Christian, must know, the abominations in Leviticus were repealed by Jesus in the New Covenant, which is why you can eat ham and shrimp, since eating shellfish and pork are also Old Testament abominations that carry exactly the same penalty as being gay.

And anyway, Jesus said that the sinful state of others is none of your business, and that those who waggle their fingers in judgment are in as much trouble or more than their targets. As he put it, "Judge not, lest ye be judged."

So -- see you in hell.

I don't know if what James just said is very accurate; the fact is, Obama is going to have to go slow and easy on most things, especially "controversial" things such as gay marriage, marijuana decriminalization, Afghanistan/Pakistan, etc, or he will be labeled the "gay president", or, "the marijuana president", or some other stupid "title" that the republicans will use to smear him and his administration as much as possible and try and use to elect a republican president in 2012 (ack!) It's going to take a while to get things done, especially the more "provocative" stuff. Rome wasn't built in a day, give Obama a year or two, at least!

GLBT please give us a break. 3% of the population is gay, 10% is a myth. You folks act like you are the majority. Myth abounds in your community and I expect that a majority of your brothers and sisters would wish you would just shut up. If you want secular rights, fine, but don't pressure the churches to be complicit in your sin. If you are a gay Christian consider Leviticus 18:22. If not, carry on..

If someone pulled the plug on Vicki Gene, he deserved it.

HA! You people actually expected change? All you need to know is does the dude have an (R) or a (D) after his name? Yes? Then don't expect much in the way of change from the status quo. Gay people will still be second class citizens and simply used for our votes.

The difference between Republicans and Democrats is that at least Republicans are open with their hatred and opposition to homosexuals.
