Verbatim

It’s like in Roman times, they’d be trotted out to the coliseum and the lions would be brought out. I mean, they’re wanting blood and they’re not getting it so they want to protest, and, you know, you can’t blame them. But frankly, the fact is we inherited this mess and it’s becoming ours.

— Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-MA), quoted by Politico.

For those of you who love the Kennedy clan. Please be aware that Patrick didn’t even know the name of the Mass Attorney General running for the senate. He refered to her repeatedly as Marsha. Her name is Martha Coakley. Given his penchant for drink (fact) – perhaps he was just slurring her name. If so, my apologies.

Patrick Kennedy is a US Representative from RHODE ISLAND (D-RI) not MA – nice editing folks.

By the way, it’s been a year of Obama policies so continuing to blame the previous administration is getting old. I’n no fan of GWB but come on the dope is gone – time to grow a set and take responsibility. The Dems have both houses of congress and the White House – and they can’t get out of their own pathetic ways.

Right, Ed. We’ll stop blaming the Bush recession, the two failed wars, the loss of New Orleans and the conversion of America into a torture state on Bush and his lockstep goose-steppers in the GOP Congress when Bush-Cheney-ites stop blaming 9/11 on Clinton — but not a minute sooner.
