Martinez' term. He'd be Sen. Crist now and have the power of incumbency. Whatever pique folks back home might have felt about the audacity of his self-appointment would be dissipating -- and those who resented it probably weren't going to vote for him anyway. And speaking of Martinez, whatever happened to the alleged corruption charges? I will never understand why Crist did not appoint himself to the rest of Sen. Martinez’ term. He’d be Sen.
