Oh, sorry — no, it’s not the born-again doufus Stephen Baldwin, whose brother is the brilliant Oscar-nominated, Emmy-winning liberal actor, Alec Baldwin.
Actually, the author is Steven Baldwin, a “senior research fellow” at the Western Journalism Center, which, despite the highfalutin name, is apparently just a blog site for the right-wing conspiracy propaganda outlet, World Nut Daily. (They’re big promoters of Birtherism and are still flogging the often-disproved allegation that Hillary Clinton murdered Vince Foster in the early 1990s.)
So, just to be clear, it’s Steven Baldwin, a World Nut Daily salaried blogger, who is the author of “The Case for Impeachment: Why Barack Hussein Obama Should be Impeached to Save America.” Here’s a bit of the blurb a review, written by another WND blogger:
Lying, bribing, subverting election laws, payoffs, aiding the nation’s enemies, seeking the abrogation of the U.S. Constitution – which of these does not fall under the “high crimes and misdemeanors” required in the nation’s founding documents for the removal of a sitting president, asks a new special report.
“The Case for Impeachment: Why Barack Hussein Obama Should be Impeached to Save America” by Steven Baldwin covers all of these issues and more in making its arguments.
“This is the beginning of the end for the United States unless the people exercise their precious remaining liberties and stand and demand that their elected representatives impeach this president before further mortal damage is inflicted upon America,” the report concludes.
Odd — Baldwin could be talking about George Bush here — if he added charges of taking the country to war based on lies and incompetence, spying on Americans, torturing prisoners, official negligence in responding to Hurricane Katrina, betraying a CIA WMD program for political purposes and other crimes and misdemeanors. But then, Democrats let Bush off the hook on these charges — which many people believed to have been the height of naivete.
Here’s more from the ad copy review:
Among the factors Americans should consider:
- Obama’s violations of federal campaign and ethics laws, including the offers from his administration to Democratic U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, who reported he was offered a high-ranking government job to drop his opposition in the Pennsylvania Senate primary to sitting Sen. Arlen Specter.
- Obama’s effort “to persuade the [Illinois] governor to fill the vacated Senate seat with his longtime adviser Valerie Jarrett.”
- Suggestions from Obama’s own Federal Election Commission documentation that he got at least $33.8 million for his campaign from disallowed foreign contributions, including 520 contributions from interests in Iran as well as $30,000 from the Hamas-controlled Gaza area.
- Obama’s administration decision to drop a case that prosecutors already had won against “black nationalist thugs” who were seen on video apparently intimidating voters during the 2008 election.
- Obama fired an inspector general, Gerald Walpin, after he exposed corruption linked to one of Obama’s buddies, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson.
- The president’s system of rewarding supporters has come under question. The report confirms more than 70 individuals who raised $50,000 or more for Obama “have been rewarded with ambassadorships or high ranking jobs.”
…”Less than halfway through his first term, Obama has done more damage to America than any previous president in history. Some of the damage can be repaired; some can’t. Some of his policies will haunt generations to come,” the report says. “It’s time for the American people to rise up and demand Congress impeach him.”
Baldwin’s book would truly be a joke if it weren’t for the fact that Rep. Darrell Issa has plans underway to double the staff of the House Oversight Committee in order to prepare to impeach Pres. Obama, assuming the GOP takes control of the House in November — and the fact that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), the self-appointed head of the GOP’s tea bagger caucus in Congress, recently said, “Oh, I think that’s all we should do… I think that all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another. And expose all the nonsense that is going on. And it’s very important when we come back that we have constitutional conservative leadership because the American people’s patience is about this big.”
So this is the Republican agenda if they control Congress next year: Paris Hilton tax cuts, time-consuming repeals of laws and constitutional amendments and investigations leading to impeachment of Pres. Obama. That should really help boost their approval among voters from its current all time low of 24 percent.

I don’t like this President or his policy any more than the last one…or ten for that matter. That being said…
1) The policy of banning abusive speech and name calling on this blog is silly because this author’s entire article is laced with insults.
2) Like the GWB policy of labeling us all terrorists if we disagree with daddy, then grounding us, locking us in our room and taking away our privileges, listening in on the phone extension, etc. Passing laws to punish us as if we are naughty children, WHAT HAS THE CURRENT PRESIDENT DONE TO CHANGE THIS TYRANNY? Remember when Africans were captured by their opponents in battles and then sold to slave traders? They merely went from captives to slaves. Same predicament under a different name. We are still slaves and the current administration has NO PLAN TO CHANGE THAT…if it means losing control over us. Economic slavery that deprives us of choices is still slavery by any definition. We are still being treated like children who are grounded. You are not free until you are free of the fear of government, PERIOD.
3) Nothing the author says changes the basic facts asserted by Steven Baldwin; not the use of name calling, insults, guilt by association, dissembling, diversions or any other childish device to which children resort to justify themselves in order to gain power. REAL POWER IS WHEN YOU HAVE CHOICES and the current president is just another master who rationalized the re-authorization ALL of the tyranny of the last guy who dominated and controlled us.
4) It’s time to quit acting like children having a tantrum and act like men, like Spartacus. The first chains that we must remove are the mental ones that affect our perspective as to our captivity as men and women.
5)To the psychopaths who can only find meaning in life by ruling and dominating others (for their own good of course), everything is a potential weapon in the battle for control; whether material possessions, economic opportunities, loans, education, sex, art, music, property, even our love and attachments to each other is seen as a weakness to them. They mean to dominate and control us by any means possible under any political label they can devise. IT’s part of the rationalization process. Don’t fall for it, instead learn to recognize it when you see it. Deal with it.
G. Arnold, thanks for dropping by. In five years and nine months, we have censored maybe three or four commenters — in most instances because right wingers posted racist screeds that were not germane to the topics at hand. (During the presidential primaries, we deleted comments by one reader who made personal threats after he became enraged over my assertion that candidate Barack Obama was not a Kucinich-like liberal but was, in fact, a DLC-type centrist. I think it’s fair to say the president’s record has vindicated me on that one.)
I assume you object to my calling the actor Baldwin a “doufus” and a “half-wit.” I stand by those description, too.
Otherwise, I’ve read your comment twice and I’m not sure what your point is. You think Pres. Obama should be impeached for the “crimes” the blogger Baldwin lists — which, if you click through, includes allowing Beyonce and Jay-Z to visit the White House Situation Room?
Our choices in 2008 were John McCain and Barack Obama. That’s our system. You can say the country chose the lesser of two evils, I suppose. But no one can seriously suggest we’d be in a better position if McCain-Palin had won.
The system itself will never change unless we fundamentally uproot it. History shows that those sorts of dramatic changes are fraught with peril. Personally, however, I believe we should ditch our current constitution — a document that restricted rights to white, male landowners and that was carefully constructed to preserve the institution of slavery — and replace it with a modern parliamentary system. But that’s just me.
Jon Ponder,
We will not allow OBUMMER and the likes of you to drag our USA any further down the socialist/marxist/tyranical path and over the cliff. Tea bagger? Are you college educated or do you get your talking points from a White Wouse website? Either way you are an enraged kool-aid drinker. Glug, glug, bottoms up!
(don’t look now here comes joe ponder’s censor)
Tea baggers hate the black president, but wait until you get a load of Pres. Romney. You will despise him even more.
And thanks for demonstrating that name-calling is all tea baggers have got, which is why we call them tea baggers.
