I get the impression that most Republicans would stand downwind from the camp-fire if they ever went camping (or had any use for nature besides raw materials).
Obviously, she’s saying this to needle Democrats whom she thinks object to using gas-powered vehicles. Remember, she gets her information about Democrats from radio people who feed her talking points, not from actually being interested in the world around her.
What she doesn’t know is that the 2010 Harley Fatboy gets 42.6 MPG. What she also doesn’t know is that environmentalists would much rather everybody rode Harley Fatboys than riding in SUVs by yourself (unless you’re hauling a lot of equipment).
