NBC/WSJ Poll: 83% Say Republicans Have Brought No Change or Wrong Kind of Change

83%

Combined percentages of respondents to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll who said Republicans have either produced “not much change either way” (60 percent) or the “wrong kind of change” (23 percent). Just 13 percent — roughly the number of Americans who self-identify as supporters of the tea party — said Republicans had brought the right kind of change. (Source: MSNBC’s “Hardball” July 1, 2011)

Good news, bad news. It’s good that 83% don’t credit Republicans with producing positive change, but rather discouraging that 60% are clueless to the fact that the Republicans have brought negative changes–continuation of a tax law that was set to expire, for one example, at the federal level and a whole slew of changes among the states. And unfortunately, this cluelessness is exactly what gets people like Michele Bachman and Paul Ryan elected to Congress and Rick Scott elected as governor of Florida. Perhaps we need to look at the fact that the MSM as represented by newspapers, television, and radio has failed this country.
