Update: It has come to our attention that a bunch of “scientists” have theorized that this photo of Rick Perry enjoying a corndog in front of a painting of a naked man is fake. Here is our position: We do agree that the science is not settled on this. But the idea that we would decide whether the photo was photoshopped based on scientific theory that’s not settled yet, to us, is just nonsense. After all, just because you have a group of scientists that have stood up and said here is the fact, Galileo got outvoted for a spell.
Original Post:
Seriously. Where are this guy’s minders? This photo is apparently real. It was posted on the Current TV site, on Aug. 24, 2011, with this description:
Oil City, PA
Campaigning outside Pittsburgh today, GOP frontrunner Rick Perry attended a picnic at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Oil City where he enjoyed a foot long corndog while touring the fabulous reproduction of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.
It is eerily similar to this photo, which we published last month under the headline, “Deep Throat: Photo of Perry and a Corndog Won’t Help with the Gay Rumors.”
Here is a bonus photo of Marcus Bachmann and a corndog:

Don’t these pols have anyone on staff smart enough to tell them not to be photographed eating corndogs???
And you know, Rick’s not just taking a bite, he’s tickling his tonsils with it. Unlike Marcus, who just likes to nibble the tip.
Uh, you only have to look elsewhere on this very website to see that it is NOT, in fact, a real photograph.

I think Perry is as ridiculous as the next guy does, but to publish a story that includes the line “This photo is apparently real” along with a photo that is provably fake should embarrass you as a publication.
Caption: Unsure how corn got on the dog in the first place, Perry was adamant on cleaning it off.
it looks like marcus is afraid is gay cure is about to wear off.
Jon, do you also believe 9/11 was an inside job too?
Yes, I believe 9/11 was planned by a sleeper cell of America-hating nihilist libertarian trolls at the Whole Foods in Tribeca, which is just three blocks from Ground Zero. A coincidence? Maybe — but even Galileo got outvoted for a spell, so who knows.
The USGS discovered evidence that molybdenum had melted in the WTC fires.. They tried to keep this discovery hidden from the public but were forced to release the finding after being sued under the freedom of information act. Molydenu,m to melt, needed to be brought to at least 4750ºF.. That’s almost THREE THOUSAND DEGREES hotter than NIST and FEMA claim the fires ever got. The official story is officially disproven. This is hard, physical proof documented by the USGS and forced to be released to the public.. It proves unequivocally that chemical incendiaries and/or thermal accelerants HAD TO have been in the buildings for temperatures this high to have been reached.. So anyone still believing the official fairytale is a true account of that day.. It’s time for you to stop hiding your fear by “making fun” of “conspiracy theorists” and truthers.. It’s time to AWAKEN FROM YOUR SLUMBER!!!
c’mon Rick, work the sack a little…
Now, is that a corn-dog or the deep fried butter on a stick making it’s way around state fairs?
I know the one with Perry and the Hitler looking guy standing beside him, is indeed a deep fried butter stick and not a corn-dog.
The Governor looks like he definitely knows how to do it.
Bachmann, however, has left a few too many teeth marks. Ouch.
That this is photoshopped is only a theory, and as such should be given equal weight in any discussion in our schools
richard head, that is hilarious.
Just as I imagine Marcus.
Is there a secret soul that is released when someone eats a corn dog that can only be seen by camera?
I’m beginning to think so.
All politicians should be required to eat a corndog!
That “naked man” is a reproduction of the Adan of the Creation scene of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel… This makes the picture even more funny… because Perry is quite opinionated in favor of creationism.
[...] hard, even for nutty right-wingers to back you. And that photoshopped image of him about to suck on a corndog certainly doesn’t [...]
