Romney Press Secretary to Traveling Press Corps in Poland: ‘Kiss My Ass,’ ‘Shove It’
"Kiss my ass. This is a holy site..."- Romney press secretary Rick Gorka to members of the traveling press corps in Poland

The gaffes just keep on coming from the Romney campaign team — from campaign honcho Eric Ferhnstrom’s “Etch-A-Sketch” snafu in May to Romney’s advisers anonymous telling a British reporter Romney’s team is “part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage” (read: “white”) unlike Pres. Obama (even though Obama’s father was a British citizen and Romney’s father was born in Mexico) to Romney’s lecturing the London Olympics on security while expressing doubts about the enthusiasm of the British people for the games — to this latest incident involving Romney press secretary Rick Gorka that occurred in Poland yesterday:

CNN: “Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?

NYT: “Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?

Washington Post: “What about your gaffes?

NYT: “Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?”

CNN: “Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven’t taken but three questions on this trip from the press!

Gorka: “Show some respect”

NYT: “We haven’t had another chance to ask a question…”

Gorka: “Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect.”

Talking Points Memo reports that Gorka also told Politico’s Jonathan Martin to “shove it.”

Romany has told us who he is when he said, “I am an Angle.” The Angles over ran Brittain when the Romans left. They pillaged, plundered, murdured Celtic men, women and children. They never gained total control of the area controlled by the Saxons. They joined togther to become the Anglo-saxons. The Anglo-Saxons invented drawing and quartering, water-boarding, and the Dark Ages. They set up fiefdoms and demanded loyalty to the defeated peasant Celts. The Angles created the Plantation of Ulster and forbid the wearing of the kilt. What is so great about being an Angle? I prefer the English boiled. This is written in honor of the Scots-Irish who were starved into submission by the Angles (English) Signed: Rob Roy

What I found so inconsistent was Gorka demanding that the press respect the Polish holy site while telling them to “kiss his ass” and telling Jonathan Alter of Politico to “shove it.” I guess for Gorka, respect is for other people. By using profanity, he disrespected the holy site, but of course, this escaped his attention.
