Several new polls show Pres. Obama’s support remaining steady at around 50 percent, while support for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan has dropped a little.
The Gallup Daily Tracking Poll released on Sept. 11 found that the president was ahead by 6 percentage points among registered voters, 50 to 44 percent. That’s the first time that Obama has reached 50 percent in this poll since the spring. Support for Romney has dropped 2 percentage points over the post-convention period.
Even right-wing polls show similar results. The Fox News poll gives the president a 5 point lead, 48 to 43 percent. Rasmussen also found a 5-point gap, with the president ahead, 50 to 45 percent.
