Dogs Against Romney Founder: ‘If Obama Said the Dog Enjoyed Being Eaten, Romney Would Have an Argument’

I viewed the push-back as a desperate move to try to blunt the impact the dog-on-roof story is having on Romney. No one holds Obama accountable for what was fed to him by his parents as a 6-year-old in Indonesia. If Obama had chosen to eat dog as an adult, in America, and told everyone the dog enjoyed being eaten, Romney would have an argument.

- Scott Crider, founder of Dogs Against Romney, when asked why he thought Romney supporters were pushing the story that Obama was fed dog meat as a child.

O’Reilly Says Watching ‘Glee’ Will Turn Kids Gay, Just Like Watching James Dean Movies Made Him Want to Smoke

After the Fox network show “Glee” featured a trans character last week, Fox News’ resident social scientists Bill O’Reilly and Gretchen Carlson did a segment on O’Reilly’s show in which they warned Fox News’ audience of predominantly elderly viewers that teenagers who watch “Glee” without parental supervision, often while doing drugs, are likely to choose [...]

What Romney’s Banner Should Say
Does Romney’s Teavangelical Base Know He Has Hired an Openly Gay Spokesman?

hey do now, via Andrew Sullivan:
Romney’s National Security Spokesman Is Openly Gay … A fact that doesn’t make it into the Washington Post. But I’m in no way outing [Richard Grenell]. He has lived with his partner, Matt Lashey, for the past nine years, and is a frequent advocate for Republicans and gays. Which [...]

Mittbot Insults Local Delicacy at Picnic: ‘I’m Not Sure about These Cookies’
Voters react: 'Maybe he's just used to eating cookies with diamonds in them'

When human politicians are confronted with cookies of an unknown origin, they will do one of two things: Eat the cookie anyway or politely refuse by saying something like, “They look great but I’m still digesting all that delicious chicken.”
When robot politicians find themselves in the same situation, this is what happens:

Founding Fathers in the Washington and Adams Administrations Passed Laws Mandating the Purchase of Health Insurance
In 1792, a Congress with 17 framers also passed a statute that required all able-bodied men to buy firearms

How can imposing mandates on the citizenry to buy stuff, including health insurance and guns, be jackbooted authoritarian “socialism” if the Founding Fathers did it?
Pres. George Washington had no difficulty imposing a health insurance mandate
In making the legal case against Obamacare’s individual mandate, challengers have argued that the framers of our Constitution would certainly have [...]

Ann Romney Blames the Dog

[He] ate the turkey on the counter. I mean, he had the runs.

- Ann Romney in an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer in which she blamed Seamus the Irish setter for befouling himself in his kennel while it was strapped to the top of the Romneys’ car during a 12-hour vacation trip. Sawyer did not ask Ann Romney if it was also Seamus’ fault that he ran away after she and her family arrived at their vacation destination.

On MSNBC’s “The Last Word” last night, host Lawrence O’Donnell opened a segment of the show by calling on his viewers to decapitate four members of the Republican Party’s leadership:

Romney Advocated Raising Energy Costs in 2010 – Rails Against It in 2012
Shake, shake, shake

For the past few weeks, Mitt Romney, his surrogates and primary opponents have been railing against the rise in gas prices and, of course, blaming the surge in crude oil prices in world markets on Pres. Obama. Here is a sampling of their spin from Elizabeth Kolbert writing in the New Yorker:
“Higher energy prices would [...]
