Poll: Some Columnists Say Writing Is Like Sex; Some Don’t

The prurient pen: An article in Editor & Publisher discusses a recent survey of U.S. newspaper columnists and how they viewed their craft. It came up with some interesting findings:
The University of San Francisco’s J. Michael Robertson unveiled the results of his survey Saturday at the National Society of Newspaper Columnists (NSNC) conference here. [...]

Pensito Review to Kentucky – Go Ahead, Block Our Site

Entering the fray: Apparently, the State of Kentucky’s Commonwealth Office of Technology, which handles the e-mail and Internet access for all state employees, has started blocking access to select Web sites and weblogs. Mainly these have been sites critical of Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher.
We at Pensito Review are always on the lookout for opportunities to [...]

Pensito Review Prepared to Provide Content to MSM

[...]

Last Chance for Democrats — and Democracy

I’m going to say something that will have my ancestors whirling in their graves, something I never thought I would say, something that even to me seems incomprehensible.
I’m willing to abandon the Democrats. There it is.
I’m tired of wondering if George Bush will have to roast babies in the Rose Garden before anyone who [...]

Pensito Review: Over Half a Million Readers Since Sept. 1

According to Webalyzer, the web traffic software provided by our hosting service, Pensito Review has had 504,807 readers (translated to Geek: “unique visitors”) since Sept. 1, 2005.
Another number that blows us away is that Webalyzer has recorded 849,659 “page views” over the same period. We’re told this number represents readers who venture beyond the homepage [...]

Bill — What Does It Take to MAKE THE LIST?

All we want for Xmas: Bill O’Reilly has updated his media hate list of “defamers,” adding The New Yorker magazine, and once again, Pensito Review ain’t on it. Frankly, the entire editorial staff is damned frustrated.
“I’m puzzled,” said Editor Trish.
“I’m bumfuzzled,” said Editor Jon.
We just don’t get it — we’ve repeatedly slammed and insulted [...]
