In May 1995, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and a consortium of major Jewish groups signed a good faith agreement over the issue of posthumous baptisms of Jewish Holocaust victims by the LDS Church. The LDS Church willingly promised to curb the proxy baptisms of deceased Jews—especially Jewish Holocaust victims. Prior to 1995, Jewish Holocaust victims, whose names were taken from multiple Holocaust lists, had been baptized by the hundreds of thousands in Mormon temples.

Nothing much has changed during the past 15 years. The splash goes on. Many Mormons have behaved as though the agreement between Mormons and Jews does not exist. Since 1995, the names of multi-thousands of Jewish Holocaust victims have been submitted into the LDS pipeline by “overzealous” Mormons for Mormon temple rituals.

Jewish Holocaust victims — with the death camps they died in clearly listed on their on Mormon records — continue to be baptized in Mormon temples around the globe.

Roughly 102,000 Jews from the Netherlands were killed in Nazi concentration camps. Most of these Jews perished (1942-1944) in the gas chambers of Auschwitz or Sobibor.

Dutch Holocaust victims have been excessively targeted for pre and post-1995 Mormon rites by Mormon submitters. This has resulted in an ever-changing jumble of listings for Dutch Holocaust names in the New FamilySearch program of the LDS Church.

[The] New FamilySearch contains updated details of proxy temple ordinances that have been done for dead people. Only an accredited Mormon with a special user log-in can currently access this website.

As a specific provision of the 1995 agreement, the LDS Church agreed to remove from its database of posthumous ordinances—which was then identified as the International Genealogical Index (IGI)—the names of all known posthumously baptized Jewish Holocaust victims who were not direct ancestors of living members of the LDS Church.

Thousands of Dutch Jewish Holocaust names are on this list. The LDS Church presented Jewish organizations with a compact disc documenting the Holocaust names that were removed from the IGI, including the names of the Dutch victims. Unfortunately, since the Victims of the Holocaust (1997) on CD-ROM was produced by the LDS Church, a new dilemma was created: a substantial number of the Dutch Holocaust names on the compact disc have been resubmitted into the LDS temple system for duplicated proxy rites.

Details about the list of Holocaust victims removed from the IGI and the Dutch Holocaust names that have been resubmitted into the LDS temple system are described in my Report on the Mormon-Jewish Controversy, pages 26-39, and attached Addendum (see PDF). The CD of names removed is referred to as “Holocaust Names Removal CD” (HNRCD) in that write up.

As Report on the Mormon-Jewish Controversy indicates, not all Dutch Jewish Holocaust victims are listed on the HNRCD. Numerous entries for Dutch Holocaust victims have been found in the now outdated IGI and also New FamilySearch that are not recorded on the HNRCD. It stands to reason that names that are recorded on the HNRCD should not be reappearing on Mormon lists for repeat posthumous temple rites.

I have put together a sample collection representing over 50 Dutch Holocaust names from the HNRCD that match randomly selected entries from among the many listings for Dutch Holocaust victims in New FamilySearch—current as of July 7, 2010. The death camps where these Dutch Jews died are plainly listed on their individual New FamilySearch records, which records all show the details of the recent LDS ordinances that have occurred for these Dutch victims—some as recently as June, 2010.

The names on the following list (excluding duplicates) are shown exactly as they appear on the HNRCD. These listings closely match the New FamilySearch copies:

New FamilySearch records (as of July 7, 2010) show that posthumous baptisms occurred in 2010 for 33 of the individuals on this list of 50-odd examples that match the HNRCD. Other LDS rituals, such as confirmation, initiatory and endowment ceremonies, or sealing to parents or spouse, were performed for 12 of the 33 names as recently as June 2010. The names of these 12 Dutch Holocaust victims as they appear in New FamilySearch are:

Sophia da Silva Abenator (1892-1943); Betsie Cohen (1902-1943); Regina Dikker (1873-1943); Maurits Joseph Gobes (1891-1942); Henriette Gomperts (1874-1943); Jesaia Heilbron (1874-1943); Benjamin De Klijn (1872-1943); Georgete Henriette de lange (1924-1943); Mozes Morpurgo (1884-1943); Salomon Peperwortel (1876-1943); Betsy Souget (1920-1943); and Salomon Mozes Souget (1878-1943).

Baptisms were done in Mormon temples, in either 2008 or 2009, for the remaining Dutch Holocaust names on the sample list that matches the HNRCD. These names have been subjected to additional proxy temple rites, ranging from October 2009 until June 2010.
Proxy rites may be performed separately in different temples for a deceased person. A variety of temples may be listed on the ordinance details of an individual Mormon record. Although there are only 50-odd names in the randomly gathered list, New FamilySearch ordinance records for these Dutch Holocaust victims show that LDS rituals were done for these names in 37 different Mormon temples, in the United States and around the world.

Tens of thousands of entries for Dutch Jews who died in the Holocaust have appeared in the IGI and New FamilySearch since May 1995. Many of these listings were removed from the IGI. Some of these records can be found in New FamilySearch with LDS ordinance details marked as “Not available.” Many entries for Dutch victims that were purged from the online IGI have disappeared and are not visible in New FamilySearch.

A large number of mainly 2009 submissions for Dutch Holocaust Jews recently vanished from New FamilySearch, but long lists of entries for Dutch Holocaust victims remain. LDS ordinance details, including post-1995, are available on numerous existing records. Hundreds of Dutch Holocaust listings are tagged as “Ready” for LDS ordinances—as Mormons continue to pump Dutch Holocaust names into the Mormon temple system.

The flood of submissions for Dutch Jewish Holocaust victims in recent years has been staggering. Some names disappear and then reappear as “Ready” for proxy ordinances. It is anyone’s guess how many thousands of inappropriate Dutch Holocaust entries, including duplicates, have been submitted by individual Mormons into Mormon temple files for posthumous rites since 1995. The figure could be as high as 50,000 entries.

LDS officials have publicly declared that New FamilySearch—the LDS Church’s new computer program—is a technological deterrent to improper temple submissions. This program is supposed to halt or slow down the submission of incorrect, inappropriate or dubious information that is being fed into its temple system by “overzealous” Mormons. Yet, new listings for Dutch Holocaust victims are appearing in New FamilySearch. The question has to be asked why the LDS Church is allowing this problem to persist.

The LDS Church is responsible for correcting LDS Church members who keep breaking the rules of the good faith agreement by continuing to submit names of Jewish Holocaust victims they are not directly related to. The LDS Church is responsible for the entire contents of its temple files. The LDS Church has the ultimate responsibility of monitoring the names of Jewish Holocaust victims that have been submitted into its temple system.

Haphazard purges and concealment of LDS ordinance data for some improper Dutch Holocaust listings in a database that is already off-limits to the public is not good enough.

The muddle of entries in New FamilySearch for Jews from the Netherlands who were murdered in the Holocaust will probably never be sorted out. Even so, the rickety rod of mismanaged LDS discipline in this matter should reach out and strongly rap the knuckles of Mormons who are known to wrongfully submit the names of Dutch Holocaust victims.

Names of any and all Dutch Holocaust Jews, who have no direct family ties to living Mormons, should not be submitted—or repeatedly submitted—for Mormon proxy rites.

Last year, before Tiger Woods' sex scandals became frontpage news, members of the Mormon Church took it upon themselves to perform their secret posthumous rites for Woods' paternal line. They baptized various late family members into the Mormon Church and sealed Woods' father in eternal marriage to his first wife despite her claims he abused and the fact that she may be very much alive.

On November 27, 2009, American professional golf champion Tiger Woods — the highest-paid athlete in the world — was involved in a mysterious car crash near his Florida home. The accident sparked rumors of domestic violence between Woods and his wife, Elin (Nordegren) Woods. Reports describing the intimate details of Tiger Woods’ alleged sex romps with a parade of women began to surface. The famous golfer has fallen from grace as the ultimate role model in sports to an allegedly pathological philanderer.

Tiger Woods was known to party and gamble at hotel casinos in Las Vegas. Coincidentally, a few weeks before his extramarital affairs became publicly known, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) performed proxy rites for the paternal family line of Tiger Woods in the Las Vegas Nevada (LDS) Temple.

LDS temple rituals are performed by living church members as proxies for the deceased. “Temple work” for the dead includes: baptism, confirmation, priesthood ordination (for males), initiatory and endowment ceremonies, sealing to spouse, and sealing of children to parents. Mormons believe these “ordinances” offer salvation to (non-LDS) deceased.

Eldrick Tont Woods (born December 30, 1975), who became known as Tiger Woods, was born in Cypress, California, to Earl Dennison Woods, Sr. (1932-2006), and Kultida (Punsawad) Woods (born 1944). Tiger Woods is the only child of their marriage, but he has two half-brothers: Earl Dennison, Jr. (born 1955); and Kevin Dale (born 1957); and one half-sister, Royce Renee (born 1961), from the 18-year marriage of Earl Dennison Woods, Sr., and his first wife, Barbara Hart Woods. Tiger Woods comes from a background rooted in Buddhism. His mother, Kultida “Tida” Woods, is a Thai Buddhist.

Earl Dennison Woods, Sr., the father and mentor of Tiger Woods, died in Cypress, California, on May 3, 2006. Earl Woods, Sr. was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church by proxy in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple on November, 6, 2009. He was also “sealed” for eternity by proxy to his ex-wife, Barbara (Ann) Hart (Woods), on November 9, 2009 in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple, even though the final judgment of their divorce had been granted on March 2, 1972 in the Superior Court of California.

Barbara Ann Hart Woods, now known as Barbara Woods Gary, was the first wife of Earl Dennison Woods, Sr. Although it appears she is still living, Barbara Woods was “posthumously” baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church by proxy on November 6, 2009 in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple, under her maiden name, Barbara Hart. In a December 2009 online news report, Barbara Woods complains about the grievous mental suffering inflicted on her by Earl Woods, Sr. during their marriage: Did-fathers-tangled-sex-life-make-Tiger-Woods-love-cheat.

If Barbara Woods Gary is not dead, then “posthumous” Mormon rituals on her behalf are inappropriate – and why would anyone want to “seal” her forever to a deceased ex-spouse who caused her so much misery? There is no date or place of death shown on her Mormon record. Did the LDS Church member who submitted her name for LDS temple ordinances bother to check if she was alive or dead?

Miles Woods and Maude (Carter) Woods, the parents of Earl Dennison Woods, Sr., and the grandparents of Tiger Woods, were baptized and confirmed members of the LDS Church by proxy on November 6, 2009 in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple. They were “sealed” for eternity by proxy in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple on November 9, 2009. Miles Woods (1873-1943) is recorded in LDS files as Miles Woods, born 1911, Kansas, United States. His correct year of birth is 1873, not 1911. His Mormon listing gives his year of death as 1986, with no death location. Miles Woods died in 1943, not 1986. Maude (Carter) Woods (1893-1947) is described on LDS lists as “Maude” (with no surname), born 1915, United States. Her year of death is shown as 1990, with no location of death. Maude Woods was born in 1893, not 1915. She died in 1947, not 1990. The inaccurate birth and death years for this couple were probably invented by the submitter. Miles and Maude Woods deserve more honest genealogy than fudged Mormon records.

In their misguided attempts to offer Mormon-style redemption to all dead non-Mormons, some Mormons are grabbing names, any names, from any family line, and creating false “family history” records for lineages they have no right to be claiming for religious rites.

As members of the LDS Church perform proxy rituals in Mormon temples for names from non-Mormon bloodlinesÑsuch as the family of Tiger Woods – the LDS Church is now concealing the evidence of this unorthodox practice from the public. Details of all ongoing “work” for the dead – including the identities of deceased individuals who are currently receiving LDS temple ordinances by proxy-are off-limits to outsiders. Only an accredited Mormon with a special user log-in can access this information online at: familysearch.org/en/action/unsec/welcome

Celestial Polygamy: Good news for the folks on "Big Love." The mainline Mormon Church is posthumously "sealing" ex-communicated polygamous fundamentalists with their various wives.

Allred (left), LeBaron

More than a hundred years ago, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) outlawed the practice of polygamy. LDS records, however, indicate that early Mormon leaders, Joseph Smith Jr. and Brigham Young, have both been “sealed” (married) for eternity to hundreds of wives. Despite its current temporal ban on polygamy, the LDS Church promotes polygamy on a perpetual basis. Polygamous unions, mainly on behalf of the dead, using living Mormons as proxies, are routinely performed in LDS temples.

Mormon fundamentalists — representing the sects of Mormonism which embrace early Mormon teachings that made polygamy a central part of the Mormon faith — are among the deceased people whose multiple marriages are now recognized by the LDS Church. Many polygamists who became Mormon fundamentalists were excommunicated from the LDS Church because they supported polygamy. The LDS Church has disowned Mormon fundamentalists. In sharp contradiction, the LDS temple system systematically validates the plural marriages of dead ex-Mormon polygamists through its marriage sealing rituals.

An example of many such individuals is Rulon Clark Allred, who was excommunicated from the LDS Church in 1940 for practicing polygamy. Allred was the leader of the Utah-based group of Mormon fundamentalists, known as the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB). A naturopath by profession, Allred was murdered in his office in Murray, Utah, on May 10, 1977, on the orders of Ervil LeBaron, the head of a rival polygamous group. At the time of his death, Allred was the husband of at least seven wives, the father of forty-eight children, and the spiritual leader of thousands of Mormon fundamentalists.

Mormon records show that Rulon Allred has been sealed by proxy to five of his wives: Katherine Lucy Handy, from whom he was divorced; Beatrice Marjorie Lloyd; Ethel Jessop; Mabel Finlayson; and Ruth Rachel Barlow. Allred was sealed to two of his wives, Ethel Jessop and Ruth Barlow, on December 16, 2008 in the Ogden Utah (LDS) Temple. Ethel Jessop became a plural wife of Rulon Allred in 1945 — five years after his excommunication from the LDS Church. Allred’s posthumous sealing to Jessop in 2008 was an LDS endorsement of Allred’s post-excommunication polygamy.

LDS proxy rituals for Rulon Allred appear to be ongoing. Allred was sealed to Mabel Finlayson on September 17, 2009 in the Panama City, Panama, (LDS) Temple. LDS files also indicate Allred is “Ready” to be sealed to Melba Finlayson, Mabel’s twin sister.

As though killers will share an eternal reward with their victims, Ervil Morrell LeBaron — the Mormon fundamentalist behind the death of Rulon Allred — was sealed by proxy in 2002 to Delfina Salido, from whom he was divorced. LeBaron is in the process of being sealed to several of his other wives. LDS records show that marriage sealings for LeBaron to Maria De La Luz (Mary Lou) Vega and Lorna Chynoweth are currently “In progress.” A marriage sealing for LeBaron to Yolanda (Lina) Rios is listed as “Ready.”

Mass murderers and serial killers are among the millions of deceased who have been posthumously baptized in temples owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). These names include the modern-day dictators and mass murderers — http://www.pensitoreview.com/Wordpress/wp-admin/media-upload.php?post_id=8685&type=image&TB_iframe=trueAdolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, and Mao Zedong. Other multiple murderers have been posthumously baptized in Mormon temples, like prolific serial killer, Ted Bundy.

Bundy, who was once a Mormon, is one of the most infamous serial killers in U.S. history. His primary occupation in life was the murder and mutilation of young women. He also engaged in necrophilia, which is a sexual attraction to corpses. Bundy destroyed many innocent lives — and his victims may have numbered over 100. Nevertheless, Ted Bundy was baptized by proxy on May 28, 2008, in the Jordan River, Utah, (LDS) Temple.

According to Mormon theology, Ted Bundy can now accept or reject his Mormon rebaptism to improve his status in the hereafter. On Jan. 23, 1989, in an interview he gave just hours before his execution, recorded on video and titled Fatal Addiction, Bundy had difficulty coming to terms with his murderous history and impending execution. Bundy was a cold-blooded killer who expressed no feelings of remorse for his crimes.

While they were alive, serial killers, such as Ted Bundy, lived to destroy lives. Evidently, some Mormons think that after death and Mormon temple rituals — as if by some magical transformation — depraved killers, like Bundy, can potentially embrace and perpetually live in the presence of God. Otherwise, why perform “saving” rites for dead murderers?

LDS temple rituals are performed by living church members as proxies for the deceased. “Temple work” for the dead includes: baptism, confirmation, priesthood ordination (for males), initiatory and endowment ceremonies, sealing to spouse, and sealing of children to parents. Mormons believe these “ordinances” offer salvation to (non-LDS) deceased.

The LDS Church usually blames its errant membership and the high volume of temple submissions for the questionable names that are processed in LDS temples, which would include the names of “celebrity killers.” However, baptizing deceased murderers on a routine basis downplays the seriousness of murder, cheapens life, and creates the illusion that even the worst criminals can easily be absolved of the consequences of their crimes against humanity. Proxy rituals for such destructive individuals are entirely unwarranted.

Mormons may insist that God will be the final judge, but what fair-minded person would baptize Adolf Hitler or Ted Bundy, or, for that matter, any of the 9/11 hijackers who perpetrated a devastating, deadly assault on the United States, crashing airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, causing the deaths of thousands of people? Most of the names of the 19 Arab suicide terrorists, who were intent on destroying American symbols and inflicting mass casualties on 9/11, were submitted into the LDS temple system for temple work. This is not a reverential memorial to the victims who died in one of the most cataclysmic events in world history.

Conversely, and, ostensibly, with little or no regard for the murder victims, the names of many American-born killers have appeared in LDS temple files. In addition to Ted Bundy, here are five examples of other well-known U.S. killers of modern times, whose names have been taken from the lists of the posthumously baptized.

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (1960-1994) was a depraved serial killer and sex offender from Milwaukee, Wisc., who confessed to the murders of 17 men and boys from 1978-1991. Dahmer is infamous for the grisly way he killed his victims. His gruesome methods of murder included drugging, rape, torture, strangulation, bludgeoning, stabbing, mutilation, necrophilia, dismemberment, and cannibalism. Dahmer was arrested by police in 1991. At his trial in 1992, he was convicted and sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms, for a total of 957 years in prison. On Nov. 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death in prison by a fellow inmate. It is not known if Mormons have performed proxy temple rituals on Jeffrey Dahmer’s behalf. He is listed in LDS temple files, but details of any LDS temple ordinances that may be attached to his entry are flagged as not available.

Edward Theodore Gein (1906-1984) was a deranged murderer and grave robber from Vernon County, Wisc. America has never seen his equal in the field of mental aberration, which included necrophilia, cannibalism, and death fetishism, along with murder and grave robbing. Gein’s crimes, which he committed around his hometown of Plainfield, Wisc., garnered widespread notoriety in the 1950s, after authorities discovered he had exhumed decaying bodies from local graveyards and decorated his home with parts of the corpses stolen from graves. While Gein was only convicted of two murders, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Gein was declared mentally incompetent and unfit to stand trial at the time of his arrest in 1957. He was committed to a state hospital for the rest of his life. In 1968, Gein’s doctors determined he was sane enough to stand trial. Gein was found guilty of first-degree murder, but was judged to be legally insane. He spent the rest of his life in a mental institution in Madison, Wisc., where he died of cancer-related causes on July 26, 1984, aged 78. Edward Theodore Gein was posthumously baptized on April 10, 2009, in the Palmyra, N.Y., (LDS) Temple. He was confirmed in the Medford, Ore., (LDS) Temple on April 17, 2009. Additional proxy rites were performed for Gein in the Newport Beach, Calif., (LDS) Temple in May 2009. Ed Gein was known as “The Butcher of Plainfield.” He is listed by that name on notes attached to his LDS record that includes the details of his temple ordinances.

John Wayne Gacy (1942-1994) was a notorious serial killer from Chicago, Ill., who had an insatiable lust for rape and murder. Gacy’s brutal methods of murder involved drugging, handcuffing, torture, sexual assault, stabbing, suffocation, and strangulation. He killed 33 boys and young men, the majority of whom he buried in a crawl space under the floor of his home. Gacy’s murder trial began in February 1980 in Chicago. In March 1980, the jury found him guilty of murdering 33 people between 1972 and his arrest in 1978. Gacy was convicted of all 33 deaths and sentenced to die. He was put to death by lethal injection on May 10, 1994, at Stateville Correctional Center, Ill. Listed as John Gacy — John Wayne Gacy was posthumously baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church in the Twin Falls, Idaho, (LDS) Temple on Sept. 26, 2008. An initiatory ritual was done on Gacy’s behalf in the same LDS temple on October 9, 2008, and an endowment ritual has been reserved for him. A duplicate LDS temple record for Gacy, listing him as John Wayne Gacy Jr., shows a baptism and confirmation are in progress, and initiatory and endowment rituals are on hold.

Arthur Gary Bishop (1951-1988) was an excommunicated Mormon from Hinckley, Utah, who was executed by lethal injection on June 10, 1988, at the Utah State Prison, for five counts of capital murder, five counts of aggravated kidnapping, and one count of sexually abusing a minor. Bishop was a child molester and child killer. He molested boys for many years without being caught. In 1983, Bishop confessed to the murders of five young boys for sexual motives. He led police to three skeletons near Cedar Fort, Utah, and two more corpses near Big Cottonwood Creek. On Jan. 22, 2000, in the Billings, Mont., (LDS) Temple, Arthur Gary Bishop became a rebaptized Mormon by proxy. Other posthumous rituals were done for him in the same LDS temple in 2000 and 2001.

Timothy James McVeigh (1968-2001) was an anti-government activist and mass murderer from Pendleton, N.Y. In June 1997, McVeigh was convicted and sentenced to death by a Denver jury for the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, which was largely demolished by the explosion of a homemade truck bomb. The bombing, which occurred on April 19, 1995, killed 168 people — including 19 children — and injured hundreds more. It was the deadliest act of terrorism on American soil, until the 9/11 attacks. McVeigh took pride in being the man responsible for the bombing. He showed no remorse for the 168 deaths, and he referred to the 19 children he murdered as “collateral damage.” McVeigh was executed by lethal injection on June 11, 2001, in a federal prison in Terre Haute, Ind. On Sept. 26, 2008, Timothy McVeigh was posthumously baptized and confirmed in the Twin Falls, Idaho, (LDS) Temple. On Oct. 9, 2008, in the same LDS temple, an initiatory rite was performed on his behalf, followed by an endowment ceremony the next day.

The LDS Church claims to be the one and only divinely mandated church on Earth — a wholesome, family-oriented religion. Yet, the ghoulish Mormon practice of baptizing mass murderers and psycho killers presents an ungodly and debased standard. When Mormons think they have the power to offer salvation to mass murderers and serial killers, essentially, they are attempting to assign redemption to a dark and unholy place.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints excommunicates any church member who practices polygamy. The Church has publicly disowned Mormon fundamentalists, representing the sects of Mormonism which embrace early Mormon teachings that made polygamy a central part of the Mormon faith — the ongoing legacy of Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism.

While the LDS Church says it does not sanction polygamy, behind closed temple doors, and in Mormon databases, many excommunicated Mormon fundamentalists (and their plural wives) have been reclaimed through posthumous rituals for the dead — and, in numerous cases, posthumously reinstated through “resurrected” original LDS ordinances, including baptisms.

Reinventing its polygamous history, the LDS Church is ushering deceased excommunicated Mormon fundamentalists — such as Rulon Clark Allred; Rulon Timpson Jeffs; and members of the LeBaron clan, including notorious killer, Ervil Morell LeBaron — back into the LDS fold.

The LDS temple system is systematically validating the plural marriages of many deceased Mormon fundamentalists who, when they were alive, were excommunicated from the LDS Church because of polygamy. Some of these polygamists have been posthumously sealed in LDS temples to plural wives they married — after the LDS Church officially suspended polygamy.

Why does the LDS Church condemn the practice of polygamy — including the polygamy of Mormon fundamentalists — as the LDS temple system consistently validates deceased Mormon fundamentalists and many of their plural marriages?
