Healthcare Bill Drill

The GOP Health Care Bill was received with great disdain.
Lefties say it cuts too much, conservatives say it’s lame.
For 50 votes, they couldn’t repeal it,
With all of Congress, they can’t replace it.
But one thing’s certain — ’tis Democrats who’ll get the blame.

It’s Soooo Complicated!

Donald Trump says Obamacare is overrated,
Whereas the Republican approach is understated.
In a month he’s learned one lesson,
And about this he ain’t jestin’:
It’s that healthcare reform is really “complicated.”

More Americans Want Trump to Focus on Healthcare First

Of Americans want Trump to focus on the healthcare system during his first 100 days in the White House, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. Jobs took second place with 16% of Americans hoping it would be Trump’s first agenda item, while immigration came third – picked by 14% of Americans.

About Half of Americans Think the Government Should Provide Healthcare

Unexpected Obamacare Savings for Women Could Lead to Fewer Abortions

The numbers are in for the Obamacare provision that ended women’s out-of-pocket expense for family planning, and they are huge, according to the policy journal Health Affairs, and quoted by Kaiser Health.

Women are saving a lot of money as a result of a health law requirement that insurance cover most forms of prescription contraceptives with no additional out-of-pocket costs…But the amount of those savings and the speed with which those savings occurred surprised researchers.

The study looked at out-of-pocket spending from nearly 800,000 women (sic) between the ages of 13 and 45 from January 2008 through June 2013. For most plans, the requirement began Aug. 1, 2012, or Jan. 1, 2013.

An Underhanded Approach

It must be true — it was said by a pundit:
The Republicans are out to confound it.
That old Obamacare
Has got ’em running scared —
They can’t defeat it, so they’ll try to unfund it.

That Day One Pledge from Romney

I’d like to know what’s noble about making it harder for people to get health care.

David Axelrod, Obama campaign strategist, commenting on the number of times Republicans pledged to repeal health care reform during their convention. Axelrod noted that his daughter, Lauren, was diagnosed with epilepsy at seven months, and without the reforms would be ineligible for insurance due to her pre-existing condition.

There’s No Such Thing As Not Paying for the Uninsured’s Healthcare

We don’t have a “deficit” problem. We have a “we already pay for each other’s health care in the dumbest way” problem.

LOLGOP’s post on Facebook as rightwing outrage over the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act goes on and on. Since 1986, when Pres. Ronald Reagan signed the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, uninsured people were required treatment if they went or were taken via ambulance to a hospital emergency room.

Chris Wallace Eats Mitch McConnell For Lunch – on FOX

Enjoy watching Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky), who already looks like a fish on the pier that someone caught by mistake and didn’t throw back in time, go blank when Chris Wallace (on FOX News!) asks what the Republican alternative is to “Obamacare.”

But keep a couple of points in mind as you view.
