U.S. House Still More Christian than General Populace


Pew Research: “The 116th Congress includes the first two Muslim women ever to serve in the House of Representatives and is slightly more religiously diverse overall than the prior Congress. Still, 88% of the members are Christian, compared with 71% of U.S. adults overall.”


One in Five Americans Has No Religious Affiliation


A new ABC News poll finds the number of adults expressing no religious affiliation has risen from 12% in 2003 to 21% of all adults in 2017. That includes 3% who say they’re atheists, 3% agnostic and 15% who say they have no religion. The largest shifts during this 15-year period include 16-point increases among young adults (age 18 to 29) and political liberals.


Fewer Americans Identifying as Christian


The difference between the percentage of Americans who identified as Christian in 2007 (78.4%) and who identified as Christian in 2014 (70.6%), according to the Pew Center for Research.

News Flash: God Still Does Not Exist

In case you need 10 really good arguments against the existence of god, here they are.

It is not up to atheists to prove that God does not exist. It is up to believers to prove that he does. And in the absence of any good, solid evidence or arguments in favor of God’s existence — and in the presence of a whole lot of solid arguments against it — I will continue to be an atheist. God almost certainly does not exist, and it’s completely reasonable to act as if he doesn’t.


Most Americans are (Sigh) Christians


Of American adults identify with some form of the Christian religion in 2011. Less than 2% are Jewish, less than 1% are Muslim, and 15% do not have a religious identity.
